I know that many fans couldn't give a fook how we line up as long as we win. Which is fine.
But I'm a believer that the right formation for each game gives you a better chance of winning that particular game.
A good example of refusingto flex......
Celtic refused to change their 343 in the CL away tie at Dortmund and took a 7-1 hammering when a more flexible defensive lineup might have saved some embarrassment.
Any f**k Celtic. This is about United. OK so Alan Temple at the Courier says JG is going to play a (high press) 343 this season and feels he finally has the right players for it. The pre season games were 343.
So here's my concerns.
343 means only 2 recognised midfielders. That leaves a high risk of being over matched in the battle for control by an opponent who puts 4 or 5 players in there.
343 relies on at least one wide attacker dropping back into midfield when we're out of possession. Probably Trapanovski.
Basically the reason for this post is I have got the fear because if we go 343 v Strassen and win comfortably that's one thing but I worry that 343 v Hearts Hibs Aberdeen etc is very high risk and could see us losing more often than we win.
Thoughts ..?

We will wait and see but I can see us switching a lot between 343 and 352 again.
I hope we get a more settled team this season though. Need our wingers to get a good run and get some consistency.

You will see 442, 352, 4141, 433, 451, 343, 4411 during the course of a game.
Football is a simple game but we've all been Sky-ed.

343 at home v Strassen and our midfield 2 getting outplayed by their 3 🙁
It matters.
