Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

What's your XI and formation for Sunday?

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Walton

Strain
Gallagher
Graham
Ferry

Sevelj
Sibbald

Trappa
Campbell
Middleton

Dalby

Take the game to them. While i will accept a horrible backs to the wall 1-0 win, i want blood in this game. I want them torn apart.

4-4-2

Strain, Gallagher,  Graham, Ferry

Middleton,Docherty  šŸ™, Sevelj, Trapa

                 Moult and TBIS.

That's what I would want, but more likely

Strain, Mani, Gallagher,  Graham, Ferry

Sevelj, Stephenson, Campbell

Vds and Dalby.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Few people saying Ross Graham struggling for Sunday. International break and we get players injured. Typical.

Seen someone say this last night. From last night there were still 4 nights of sleep for the players, hopefully thatā€™ll of passed by sunday.

Hopefully.

Bit concerning if a few haven't trained all week though.Ā

I guess we will just have to wait and see. I'm hoping there's a bit of kidology at play, and United have purposely put out a couple of false rumours.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Gallagher, Ferry, Moult and Docherty all described as 50/50.

Knowing the type of cautious Manager, Goodwin is, i doubt he'll risk them, particularly as we have another two week break thereafter.

Absolute joke that Docherty and Moult are still out, particularly the latter. Always a 'knock' that seems to keep him out for a month at a time. Gave up on Docherty a few weeks back.

Goodwin keeping his cards close to his chest regarding Ross Graham injury and/or illness to others.

Saying we have 'great options' regardless of injury. Sorry, but i'll have to disagree there, Jim.

It's so dispiriting,  every week you are just waiting on the news that another key player is unavailable after picking up a knock at training.

What are they doing in St Andrews or what are they not doing, there can't be anther team that has to contend with the amount of injuries.

Jim said that ' it's been a long season and the guys are feeling the effects'.

League games- Docherty 14 games, Moult 13 games, Gallagher 27 games Ferry 26 games,  Graham 13 games.

We got pumped out of both cups early so we have hardy had a gruelling run.

This is kind of what I was alluding to when questioning why certain players could be tired after playing 60 minutes of football!

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Every team gets injuries through the season, it's part of football.
It's nothing to get worried about ,it's a chance for fringe players to get a game SCH ( I thought I would be the first to use his initials) is a good player  I'm just looking forward to a competitive game on Sunday.
Unfortunately im carrying a heavy cold so my attendance might be 50/50

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

It's a very low key build up to this one.

Hopefully whatever 11 we line up with is up to the task. Having Craig Sibbald back is a big plus.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Given the way things are going I would actually make Dundee favourites for bottom spot just now. Their weakest area is defence - they ship a lot of goals.

So I would be going 433. Sibbald, Sev, Babunski in the middle. Trap, Dalby, Middleton up top. Whatever defence we can cobble together. Really go at them from the start.

Saw Will Ferry running into training at the RPC in Dundee yesterday with the rest of the squad!

Thatā€™s good news, hopefully heā€™s fit.

Heard Louis Moult is also feeling a lot fitter again, hopefully on the bench tomorrow.

I agree we should be more aggressive than usual from the start and more adventurous with the lineup and I'm liking your team, although it's doubtful he's selecting Babunski.
The result between St J and Aberdeen could play into this a bit. A win for St J, maybe a bit unlikely, would encourage us even more and perhaps make them more nervous.

Evening tele podcast said on Thursday that Gallagher should be fit as did Scott Burns/Daily record last week.

Good news as well.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Decent set of results for us today.

Hearts meet Motherwell so something has to give there plus Hearts need to play Celtic.  A win tomorrow would all but seal top 6.

Didnā€™t see Graham or Docherty but Gallagher and Moult both there could have just missed seeing the first 2 also.

Need ferry and Gallagher fit for tomorrow.  Give them every injection under the sun

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Looks like a strong line up with no injuries at all. Even Docherty and Moult on the bench. Plus Graham has shaken of his season long injury overnight.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Very attacking line up. 433? Let's get this done.
Bit surprised that Campbell gets the nod ahead of Sibbald but Sibbald is a great sub to look for when you need control later in a game.
