Re: TV show thread

Breaking Bad is up there wi the best tv programmes I've ever watched.
Looking forward to its prequel - Better Call Saul I think it's called.
Also quivering in anticipation for the return of Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. Marvellous stuff.
Tried SOA and nearly lasted a whole episode. Bizarre nonsense to say the least.
Need someone to remake Lost lol 😊

Re: TV show thread

Loved BB, best show in years, ending was pefect for the show.

Didn't care much for Dexter and the finale got panned.

Sons of Anarchy is brilliant, cannot wait for the next season to come on Netflix.

Prison Break was great too. Like Mad Men as well. Recently started watching Person of Interest, it's ok. Netflix is tremendous best £6 a month you will ever spend.

Re: TV show thread

Going slightly retro here but anyway watch or remember Early Doors? Only the 2 series but was just excellent. So simple, just brilliant when you wanted to disengage the brain.

Re: TV show thread

Yeah i quite liked Early Doors.

Only watched it one night cos i heard Roddy Frame singing whilst skipping channels (he wrote the theme song).

Re: TV show thread

Watched over 3 nights 'The Returned' on Netflix.A French made horror/thriller series. There was a film of the same name, also french.

Lanarkshire band 'Mogwai' provide the soundtrack, which is suitably menacing/brooding.

Liked the series overall, though the ending was (at best) ambigious.

Re: TV show thread

Returned was really good, at the time the ending wasn't well recieved as there was no mention of the 2nd season until the end credits.

Re: TV show thread

I watched The Returned when it was on Channel 4, totally gripping. Think the new season will be on Channel 4 in a wee while.  That wee boy Victor gives me the heebies.

Re: TV show thread

Sons of Anarchy and Walking Dead are my next box sets to get into. Liked breaking bad, loved sopranos.

Anyone ever watch Misfits? A fine programme, funny as hell and a bit gruesome also.

Also enjoy Whitechapel.

'House of Cards' is excellent.

My next Netflix splurge is Ray Donovan.

Never watched The Sopranos yet though, other than an episode or two.Must rectify that this autumn.

Re: TV show thread

New series of Peaky Blinders starts Thursday on BBC. Set post WW1 about illegal bookmaker gang in industrial Birmingham. Stars Cillian Murphy.

Nothing ground breaking but worth a watch, even if just for some scenes/sets. First series was decent minus a few dodgy accents.
