Dundee United V's Aberdeen - Saturday 13th December 3pm

Few tough decisions to make for McNamara after the last 20 minutes of the County game (which was shambolic).

I would go with ....

..................Czierniak.......
Watson..Souttar..Dillon..Townsend
...............Paton..Butcher............
Connolly...Armstrong.....Erskine....
.....................Ciftci.....................

Subs - Szromnik,Rankin,Fojut,Dow,Telfer,GMS,Bilate

This for me also. Souttar is looking good but Aberdeen are on a decent bit of form just now. If we are a bit slow to start, like against motherwell, Aberdeen will take better advantage of it, would prefer to start with the more settled back four.

Quietly confident about this one.

This x4

First real test of the younger lads as let's face it the sheep will try and kick the shite out of us as they know they canny match us football wise. If we stand up to them we'll win by 2 or 3 clear, let them get on top and they could take it 1-0 or 2-1.

That x5. Morris and Fojut will be hoping for long balls galore like the start of the season. What a piss easy game that was for them.

Re: Dundee United V's Aberdeen - Saturday 13th December 3pm

we really need the midfield on song. they'll batter the midfield as they usually do.

Re: Dundee United V's Aberdeen - Saturday 13th December 3pm

Batter all they like, we're the team with true ability in the final third.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Callum Butcher in what I thought was a 4141 but he was apparently 1 of the 2 in the usual 4231 who was too adventurous, according to JMac on the ZONE.

Don't actually see any downside of that, apart from maybe the Sellick game if Commons starts.

Re: Dundee United V's Aberdeen - Saturday 13th December 3pm

Surprised so many want Souttar out tbh.

I thought he was excellent against 'Well and ok v County.

Last twenty mins against County was very poor defensively, but i thought it was Fojut who was more culpable.

He had two chances to get near Arquin for his goal and was nowhere near him.It was also on his side that Arquin had his other chance that he could have got a penalty for.

Aberdeen aren't a particulary physical team and are more about movement.

I'd definitely play Soapy,personally.

Re: Dundee United V's Aberdeen - Saturday 13th December 3pm

I'm no convinced they will go route one though Stobes.

Agree with Rodge. The big battle will be in midfield.

If we click as we can i'm confident of victory.

Rado

Watson......Dillon......Fojut......Townsend

..........Rankin.............Paton..........

Erskine...............Amo.........................Dow

...........................Ciftci........................

Watson and Townsend need to watch Mcginn and Pawlett's pace. Dillon and Fojut watch Goodie and Rooney.

Paton and Rankin need to work like fuck, Robson will run at them so we need engines In there and cool heads.

If the attack get driving at them, we can unlock their shite defence.

Seemingly Watson, Fojut, Butcher, Erskine and Connolly all out or doubtful along with Bilate.  Christ knows what they do to each other at training.

Hopefully Fojut and Erskine make it.

Doesn't leave us much on the bench if all out.

Hope this is a bit of mind games and keeping the Sheep guessing on the team! Starting to get up for this now canny wait to hopefully give the deluded, time warped, sheep shagging, utterly depressing shite hole of a city, bellend, bastards a good tanking at Tannadice!
