Re: Kieran Freeman

Balls coming in from the right (usually from Freeman) have been responsible for a very significant percentage of our goals over the past month or two. This is the last thing we need right now.

without being in the top class bracket Smith is a far better defender than Freeman. Overall for me atm Smith is a better option than Freeman

Re: Kieran Freeman

That's a shame for Kieran, he & injuries are near neighbours so I hope it's not as bad news as Tek's six weeks.
Impecable timing tho Liam Smith coming on at Dens on Tuesday after 5 months out & looking forward to seeing him back at RB for the timebeing.
Shakey asking re Mulgrew, I'm thinking it's minor but this was the risk we were taking with him, he's never going to be an ever-present altho all he's missed apart from the last 3 (County, Celtic, Fun) was the 1-1 draw at Celtic in September.
So Connolly & Reynolds are away and without Mulgrew we've got Edwards, Graham, Butcher & to a lesser extent Neilson but for me Mulgrew is the No 1 centre half & we're a poorer XI without him.

Re: Kieran Freeman

For players Carrying a knock or coming back from injury this was always going to be a testing period with a lot of games in a short space of time.

Giving Mulgrew a bit of time to recover makes sense rather than rushing him back only for the injury to be worse - to be fair given his age I would have expected him to have been rested for one or two games during this period
