By going on a night out no rules were broken.
IMO far better going on a teambuilding night and making your own decision about your health than listening to the panic merchants in Holyrood.

Fair enough you are entitled to your opinion on the risk.  Personally, as someone who didn't cancel a small work team get together that was in a restaurant and then a quiet corner of a pub I appreciate that there is personal choice.  I wouldn't have gone on a trip to Newcastle, on a bus to go on the piss however and I am not running a covid privileged business in the public eye.

Re: The Rangers Vs Utd - Saturday 18th December

No United fan should be going near Ibrox, why would you want to be in a 50,000 crowd and almost guarantee catching Covid.

I expect United to offer refunds to every fan who asks for one, and to put out a statement tomorrow urging fans not to travel.

Liverpool without 3 first team players last night, were they all on nights out???? This bug is out there, get vaccinated and live with it was the advice......What changed....
If people want to lock themselves up in houses and hide then that's fine but don't have a go at people who want to get on with life...

Re: The Rangers Vs Utd - Saturday 18th December

What's the current ruling on this anyway.

Thought that if you couldna field a squad to play a match, you forfeited the match. The other side got 3 points and a 3 goal advantage.

Is that still the case. Did this also apply in the English Leagues or was that just an SFA rule.

Re: The Rangers Vs Utd - Saturday 18th December

Well Charlie Mulgrew isn't one of the Covid infected players as he was at the Hydro last night doing the Open Goal Show.

Re: The Rangers Vs Utd - Saturday 18th December

The rules (as i inderstand them) would mean the 'close contacts' wouldn't need to self-isolate if they can meet two criterias.

1) They don't live in the same household as the Covid contracted
2) They have been double vaccinated

Damn.

I'd heard Freeman, Chalmers and Glass were just 'close contacts'.

We're utterly screwed tomorrow.😂😥

Re: The Rangers Vs Utd - Saturday 18th December

So, the players that we haven't heard are infected are

Carson

K.Smith
Mulgrew
Edwards
McMann

Meekison
Hoti
Levitt
Appere

Clark
McNulty
Watson

Assuming McNulty still isn't fit to play we are only just scrambling an XI together.

I saw that too, he was dancing about on stage with a beer. Great preparation for the big game.

As an aside, Jason Cummings appeared on stage dressed as Batman, and has now been sent home from training and dropped by Dundee.

I was mair wondering what the current ruling was if you couldna field a team, and the match was actually Cancelled, ( as opposed to just being postponed)

Wonderful.

Never knew Freeman's injury was that bad either. So that's both our right backs injured.

We really don't carry much luck.

Re: The Rangers Vs Utd - Saturday 18th December

No point in remotely risking anyone tomorrow.
Regardless of what team we put on the park we are losing.
Hopefully we are in better shape for the Hibs game.

Flynn Duffy tho I think he's more of a left back.
Kerr Smith?
