Yeah this for me too. It's hard to evaluate the likes of Meekison and Mochrie as I've not seen too much of them but I would have Hoti on the bench as well .
McNulty on return, yeah.
Appere for Niskanen?
Chalmers & Glass need chance to show themselves.
Liam Smith put pressure on Freeman once fit, that was a right duller he got from the boy at St Mirren, Goodwin-inspired thug.
Has anyone here seen Biamou?
Mochrie too needs a chance to shine.
It will be very interesting to see what our starting XI will be on the 21st of May
(The draw for the 4th round is live on BBC Scotland after showing the Brechin v Darvel game).

Not saying it's our strongest team.
But i'd love to see this team on the park at some point.
4-3-3
...........................Siegrist...................
Freeman...Edwards..Mulgrew..Mcmann
..........Fuchs.....Levitt......Harkes......
.....Meekison....Appere....Chalmers
Or indeed this team - 4-4-2 -
.......................,,,...Siegrist.............
Freeman......Edwards....Mulgrew....McMann
Pawlett.......Fuchs...Levitt......Niskanen....
...................Biamou...McNulty
Goalkeeper and back four picks itself. Levitt and Fuchs in midfield also picks every week. So that is 7 starters everyweek. I would suggest the other 4 places in the team are up for grabs most weeks and no-one has tied those roles down in wide areas or upfront.

I think those two teams show that (bar a proper goalscorer) we've got plenty of players and I actually don't see us doing any business over the winter. Maybe the Ghanian lad will start putting some pressure on others too. You also missed Clark as a nailed on starter - not necessarily a fan's favourite, but I think he is on Courts' starter's list every week.
Biamou is a weird one. He just doesn't seem to want to give him game time and he's not going to do much until he is given a run. Tricky one as he's not shown much in the limited time he has been given and Appere seems to have turned a corner again.

I purposely left Clark out both teams. I actually like him and think he's been a great servant for us.
But he just doesn't offer enough at this level.
Only 2 goals in his last 25 Premiership matches or something like that. It's a very poor return and if we only make one signing in January it has, has, has to be a Striker.
Have a funny feeling Biamou will be released early or put out on loan. Been here 2 months now and hasn't started even one game. Barely even came off the bench.
Starting to feel a bit like the Osman Sow signing i.e. an exciting signing of a player who has pedigree and has scored goals previously, only to just not play for us for whatever reason.

Agree with you on Clark - the stats don't lie, but I think Courts sees him as the right type of player to interact with a sharp passing, one touch midfield. You can see that is what he is there to do. More of a back to goal bounce 1-2s off him as you press forward. A lot of our goals do involve Clark in their build up. He just doesn't score enough himself though.
Agree that Biamou has a look of Sow about him. Difference being Sow was just never fit but had been a player before coming to us. This lad looks more limited, but if he doesn't get game time then he'll never improve. He doesn't look the sort to enjoy short sharp passes played into his feet with a requirement to distribute to quick moving midfielders so I guess that is why his chances are limited - why buy him though....

Biamou picked up a wee injury last week.

Heard the lad is working incredibly hard to get fully fit and he's over doing it, the club have had to reel him back in to prevent serious injury, the guy is desperate to play and do well.

That's a good sign, but it needs properly managed. Chilwell recently in press saying that he was overdoing it after falling out of favour at Chelsea after the Euros that he didn't get a game in (understandable) and Tuchel took him aside and said not to panic and he'd get his chance. Same needs to happen here, but we've also got to give him a chance - the last 15 minutes of a game is not suited to a player like Biamou.

Rumours abound that Biamou has 'flew the coop'.
Supposedly went back to France 3 weeks ago and hasn't returned.
We needed a Striker signed. Now we need two.
Can I nominate another couple of Osman Sow-ers?
Craig Curran
Rakish Bingham
any others?
My point being there really is not much out there.
(Mark McNulty is away above them btw imo. I long to see him sparking in the new year)
That's bad news if Biamou has gone, club keeping it quiet for the time being.
There's a rumour on Mad that there was a fall-out with the head coach

I saw him in Currys, Dundee on Xmas Eve but he may have just come back/has left now?

That's good to hear. Rumours must have been a lot of shite then.
Hope this lad is worth the wait.
