Anim cudjoe

Did we ever sign this boy? It was said at the time that he could join up with the u18s but never saw whether it happened or not

Re: Anim cudjoe

Don't think so mate.

Think they would have announced it.

Re: Anim cudjoe

I watch him today play for a strong reserve team against Raith, Max played (55 mins) as well. Chalmers scored an absolute wonder goal and Mochrie ran the game from central midfield. won 3-1

First off he's tiny, I'm talking about 5' 2"  so dont expect him in the first team anytime soon, he came on last 15 mins , he actually did ok, played as a no.10 low center of gravity, some nice touches

Thanks for that feedback.

Interesting that the lad is still getting trialled. Interesting one.

Hope he has something but may be one for the future...

Re: Anim cudjoe

We were first linked with this lad in September. That's a long time we've been pursuing him. But it is an intriguing signing. He was on trial at Bayern Munich previously.

This is the video that was first posted on the 'Summer Transfer Window' thread a few weeks back. The standard of opposition he is up against is undoubtedly very poor, but he looks an exciting, naturally talented player.

Tiny though.

Re: Anim cudjoe

Let's hope we are keeping up the latest trend of decent signings.  We've been after him for long enough - bit like Fuchs and Niskanen.

Re: Anim cudjoe

Tek - think he has been with us for mo the already. I think he joined the u18 squad - and as far as I know he stayed... friend of a friend said he was pretty decent in the u18..

Think he will have a bit of growing to do before he's getting smashed by spfl defenders though. We must have confidence to hand out a 3 year deal though

Fingers crossed he is good

Re: Anim cudjoe

Must be a custom in Ghana to shower money on (good) players in appreciation. This boy seemed to be hero worshipped for Asante Kotoko.

He's not been training with the first team so good bit off I'd say.

Seems to be a problem with our best Young players, Hearing Neilson and Mochrie wont be signing new contracts and Chalmers and Mochrie been bombed not even in todays match day squad,

If you take into account freeman only playing cause Smith is injured, only youth player getting good development is a manu player ?

The problem is they are all 5-a-side popstars with no dig or ability to improvise in situations.

Too much commotion

If there are better than the players that are currently starting they will play , if not they rightly will not start.  Based on what ive seen from the names youve mentioned none of them should currently be playing.

Re: Anim cudjoe

Over two months since he signed.

not really, he's a development player, comes on in any reserve games we have trains between the u18s and sometimes the first team

Not really?

There's been zero info about him since his signing.

Did he get his work permit? What matches has he played?

Any footage of him playing? Maybe an interview?

He was afterall signed with a bit of fan fare (compared to any other 'development' player anyway).

Fans tend to be interested in this kind of stuff when a player signs, particularly an unheard of foreign player.

Crazy stuff eh?😀

let him develop at his own pace with no pressure

Re: Anim cudjoe

It's just the latest example of how this regime get things so wrong.  Fanfare on arrival, raise expectations and then when it turns out they are not ready, silence.  You'd think they would have learned from Hoti.  All about Always thinking he's still an agent.
Friend of my daughter's signed at 16 for Celtic.  He is doing very well by all accounts playing in the B team most weekends, but there is no fanfare, no expectation, boy just expected to develop.  Our management seem to need to tell everyone how good they are, how wide their network is and that does put pressure on youngsters.  Ultimately, I agree that we should leave him alone and keep the pressure off, but that pressure starts with the club and the way they go about things.

Haha wtf you on about?

What we can't wonder about the lads current status/progress without putting 'pressure' on him.

Some of you guys should work for Tony.
