Re: Summer Transfer Window

If a 35 year old centre half is our " top signing priority " then the new management team must be happy with what they have already.

Greg Stewart released by The The. Would you take him?

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Not sure. Ex dee Birmingham aberdeen and sevco.

I wondered if he was the type of lad we'd go for. We do desperately need pace and width.

Stewart’s not at all quick, or particularly effective playing out wide.

As a number 10 though, he’d be an upgrade on what we have, very tricky and a good finisher that could be the link we’re needing between the midfield and Shankland.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

I don't know what it is about Stewart but I've just never been too excited any time his name has been mentioned. He is certainly a good player but I'm not convinced it would work for him at United. Would love to be wrong though if we did sign him.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

It's a no for me.

We need to get back to signing players with a point to prove and those who still have a hunger to progress.

We have enough run of the mill bang average expierenced players.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

All gone quiet on Mulgrew ?

Has McNulty gone back to Reading ?

Left winger, target man remain a priority and like someone said - tick tick tick.

No -other than a couple of good years at Dens he has done the square root of fuck all in his career and would command a high salary that could be put to better use IMO.

*Edit - just checked his appearances record there - he is 31 and made a grand total of 293 appearances in his entire career so far.  If he turned pro at 16 then that is 16 games per season.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Arabs anon had us linked with Liam Kelly of qpr. Uninspiring but solid enough if its true.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Kelly would be a decent signing if Benji is away

Doyle-Hayes from st mirren also rumoured to be a target

Doyle-Hayes would be a really promising signing. Could see him and Fuchs forming a really good partnership.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Can't say I know anything about him? Any info? All I can see is he was on a short term contract at St mirren. They have offered him a contract but his agent is keen to look elsewhere

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Courts in the courier stating we will do everything to keep benji and shanks....we'll they are both under contract - so shouldn't be too difficult unless they accept an offer for them 🤔 why come up with this bs? We know benji is away and the fact they bring shankland into it makes me think that he wants away too.

I guess far from creating an image of stability, it will make the new gaffer look weak.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Seems like Mulgrew will sign on a 2-year deal. Sounds like he'll have a remit on the coaching/mentoring side.

That is Mulgrew official. 2 years.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Benji rumoured to be attracting interest and I think we all expect him to leave however how much should we be getting? For us, he is worth a couple of places on his own next season...theres probably not a lot if profit in selling him. I guess we need 2 teams to have real interest in him

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Akechi Anya rumour floating about.

Hasn't had a club since he left Derby County a year ago, so would surely be a trialist. If at all true.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Maybe we're going for the Scotland squad 2016.  Mulgrew, Anya, Alan Hutton?  Christophe Berra?  Darren Fletcher?

Barry Bannan must be looking for a club?

Re: Summer Transfer Window

The Anya rumour has to be 100% bullshit. Surely.
