This exactly, brought in to get us out of that horrible division, at an expense to the club with the plan to move on for profit.
Wish him all the best and thanks for all the goals...

BBC reporting its 450 up front and add ons.

Maybe i've been misled by the previously low figures in the press but i think most fans would have accepted £450k gross. SO the potential of double in add-ons seems a positive. Really interested to see how he does over there.
If we can get McNulty, a winger and a pwerful striker, i'll be pleased. I wouldn't be against looking at Matty Kennedy from Aberdeen either. If St Mirren and County are interested i'd say we'd be a more attractive and easier move for him.
Would allow for a more permanent switch to 4-3-3 to have more options out wide too which has more round pegs in round holes with the current squad.
Gone all quiet on Robson again which is interesting too.

More surprised that at £450k there is only 1 club in for him i thought there would have been more competition at that valuation.
Robson i was surprised at the level as Lincoln are not a big club and in league 1 - but if they are willing to pay a fee I am sure we will have to listen to them in the current climate

Good luck to Lawrence. A shame last season didn't get the best out of him and hope that Beerschott can play to his strengths.

Seek. Seeing Beerschots tweet was a boot in the stones.
Must reinvest and bring in quality.

Gutted TBH.
Adieu Sir Lawrence of Arabia.

Does this trigger the incomings? Going by noises last week I would have thought we’d have heard some news by now.

Up there with Billy Dodds leaving.
I immediately thought of Ian Ferguson leaving for Hearts.
Here's a debating point though
I would put Shankland behind those two when it comes to striking ability.
Am I wrong

Am I wrongBoth Ferguson and Dodds scored regularly against top teams, Ferguson doing it regularly in Europe too. Shankland didn't prove himself at the highest level, but then if the service to Ferguson or Dodds had been 60 yarders from Connolly and Reynolds, blootered over their heads towards the corner flags, they might not have looked so good.
Still, you're probably not wrong.
3 great players,
Ferguson vs hearts(40 yards)Doods vs Celtic.(opening day of the season) and Shankland vs Dundee (away) my favourite goals from them.

- We'll never know really.
Exactly as Canadian says, no ball = no goals.
Potential wasted.

Peterborough linked with Fuchs

Eugh. It would have to be good money for me to be anywhere near happy about this one....
Also from memory, didn't we get him free or near free with the condition of a large % of a sell on fee?

40% sell on apparently.

If Fuchs is sold its pretty clear that finance is more important than the team on the park. Maybe we are totally rookied and if so it has to be done, but he's the lynchpin of the team and we have no equivalent replacement. Not good.
Offline
surely to fuck we have learned our lesson by now, selling one player a season for good money makes sense, a fire sale where all of your good players leave within a year (6 players between may 2014 and may 2015) is disastrous.
I worry Benji will be next
Offline
Sounds as if Mr Ogren was over to tell Big Tone to start the fire sale. It's not looking good.
Offline
if we don't sell now and they all leave for free next summer boys will be going ballistic. Totally depends on adequate replacements.

I heard about 3 months ago Fuchs would be sold.
So far everything i've heard from around that time has came to fruitition i.e. (Mellon back to Tranmere, Courts appointed, Asghar Jr promoted, Shankland sold etc).
So, i have no doubts at all that Fuchs, Kerr Smith and Siegrist are all away this window, as was the talk as far back as about late April/early May.

Anything else we should know?

Everybody at every Scottish club is effectively up for sale.
The game at our level is all about recruitment.

I'd love to see Fuchs sign a (lengthy) extension, but given that there is probably no chance of that happening, then I guess it comes down to how much can we make from him leaving now versus how much we risk losing from not having him for the rest of this season.
No doubt he will be a great loss though, if he does go, potentially even more so than Shankland. Sadly the way the game works these days, there is no way we can compete financially with a team like Peterborough United, as much as it hurts to say it.

Difference is that we have an owner who has been convinced that he can make some money out of it. That will put added pressure on things.
The key to rearing youngsters (which I don't think anyone is arguing with) is to have a good core of older players in the first team that allow youngsters to be blooded as early as possible whilst maintaining a team free from the dangers of relegation (i.e. and atmosphere in which youngsters are unlikely to thrive). If we sell our core of older players without like for like or improved replacements we'll be back to the Championship before you can say "Jackie McNama...."
