Aaron Hickey Thread

Be interesting to see how this talented young Scot does in Seria A. His Bologna side at home to Parma later tonight.

Since 1986 only 2 Scots have featured in Seria A.

Graeme Souness and Liam Henderson. The latter for only one appearance and is now plying his trade back in Seria B where he has played for 4 years.

Hopefully young Hickey does well and can feature in the national team before too long. Be sad to see him end up like Ryan Gauld and be full of hype but see his career go nowhere.

I wouldn't say Gaulds career has went nowhere as you put it.

Fair enough.

Considering what was expected of him though it's been a disappointment to see him largely play in Portugal's 2nd tier.

I thought by this point in his career he would have 20 Scotland caps.

Good start for Hickey.

Helping his team win the Derby 4-1 at home to Parma.

Richard Hughes played for Atalanta but don’t think he ever played a first team game.

Was at Hampden for what I think was his one and only Scotland cap V Norway.  He was pish.

Re: Aaron Hickey Thread

2nd start in Seria A.

But a disappointing day as Bologna lose 1-0 away to newly promoted Seria B Champions Benevento Calcio.

Bologna losing despite completely dominating the match in terms of possesion, shots on target, corners etc.

Hickey was subbed off on the 67th minute. As Bologna went more attacking, one minute after conceding.

Re: Aaron Hickey Thread

First player to be capped for Scotland whilst playing in Seria A since Graeme Souness in 1986.
