The build up to the new season

God, it's been underwhelming from the club.

I get that this has been a totally different pre-season to most. But the lack of any excitement or build up from the club is verging on bizarre.

No new signings, strips still not on sale (away one not even been revealed), very few interviews with Mickey Mellon, Frail's appointment still not even mentioned on clubs official website, no live updates from friendlies despite fans asking for them etc.

It all feels a bit half arsed. Maybe, just me.

Re: The build up to the new season

If it wasna for this p1sh fae Tw@ts of Midlothian and Ann Sludge, on top of this crap pandemic, I genuinely think things would be different Tek, but I'm as under enthused as you are, and I think most fowk are feeling the same.

I think it's a bit of reading the room.
People have died, thousands of Scots have or are in the process of looking their jobs.
I think a quiet low key build up is the way to go at this time.

Agree with this, Beharder.

Cant argue with most of this mate. There is a full article about Frail on the website though and the strip can be pre-ordered. In terms of the friendlies there havent been updates from any clubs bar Rangers on Wed. You would assume there is a reason for this but I agree surely it shouldnt be that hard?

At the end of the day, if we go and pump the saints on Saturday, no one will give a fuck!

They've literally just put up the Frail article.😂

I must have reminded a certain someone that he'd been appointed.

Thought this video would give me a bit of a sense of excitement but BBC clearly shat the bed.

Re: The build up to the new season

Until the arbitration is over I’m not even thinking about the season to be honest.  Ridiculous situation we’re in and won’t surprise me if we end up being the fall guys for the SPFL’s incompetence and Hearts refusal to accept they’re shite.

It has only been put up tonight after the friendly. Look at the publish date and it's top of the heap on the site.

Not that it's a big deal. But just feels like there is a general malaise surrounding the club just now in some aspects. Some of it understandeable, some not.

I'm not alone in this opinion.

Re: The build up to the new season

Do we know if the "support functions" within the club are back from furlough yet?

Could be a reasonable explanation for some of the issues raised?

Re: The build up to the new season

Tony & Mickey understandably cautious under circumstances.

2 signings + Frail are quality.

Couldnae give a rats arse about new strips which are just a rip off designed to take money off the young laddies every year.

Win againsts Saints Aug 1st a' that matters.

I agree and the arabzone site is a mess these days, very unintuitive and videos go missing. That said, I read the full article yesterday afternoon so perhaps they took it down and re-uploaded it
