The 4th Game of Round 1 saw an easy win registered for the late, great IAN REDFORD.His 9 votes will see him easily progress through to the 2nd Round as a seed.Joining him in the 2nd Round (albeit unseeded) will be former Swedish midfield maestro LARS ZETTERLUND who finished in 2nd place (but with only 3 votes).Eliminated at the first hurdle are Alan Main and Gary Bollan, the latter unfortunately receiving no votes.

I vote for Miodrag.
Effortless and classy defender, with an essence of Narey and Petric about him. Was in the team when I first starting watching United and was one of my favourites along with Mixu.
Still have the 91 cup final programme with an article about him with the headline 'Miodrag wants some Scottish gold'. Shame he didn't get any with us.
Christian Dailly gets too much of a raw deal, it would be nice if he got through as well.

Dailly does get a raw deal, you're right Siebby.
Sure he was in the team that got relegated and in the 1st Division him+big Elvis looked shaky az at times but they were both just laddies at the time and Dailly was trying to learn a new position to boot.
He gets my vote because.
1.He took a ball at pace in his dish but ran through it to round Ally Maxwell under pressure and tee up Special Brew via the Hampden post
2.He could have went abroad and played in Serie A but ended up opting for Derby so Utd got a bigger transfer fee.
Loved Mio too though.Hard not to vote for him,and just how fucking cool does he look in the white Asics strip?

Christian Dailly and Miodrag Krivokapic both cult heroes and both gentlemen too, hard one to call but both should progress and hopefully avoid each other in the next round. For this round ill take Mio simply because i saw for the 1st time him stroll past the opposition on the seggy side touchline and go back again and do it for fun without breaking sweat almost stood up on the ball at times and looked for a team mate to pass to. A wonderful graceful sight of a footballer who was years ahead of Andrei Kanchelskis. Christian actually would have made it at anything he chose to do because as a kid around Fairmuir Park he was the best at everything he played, both naturally talented people.

i pick miodrag krivokopic he was outstanding, i was there when he scored his only goal for us against motherwell at fir park in a midweek game

Dailly, one of the first players I remember watching when starting to watch United. Seems to have achieved a cult status at a few of the clubs he has played for. The '94 cup final goal has him written into United history forever.
Wee mention for Davie Robertson, had a few special moments when with us. Namely ball off his backside and into the back of the net to take us past der hun.

Mio was a class player. When wee Jim played him in midfield my old man used to rave about how good he was when we were at games. Pity he was desperate to play in defence because we had him, Narey and Van Der Hoorn who were all sweepers but only John Clark and Welshy as Centre Halves neither of whom were really outstanding. I got a pat on the head from him when I was a wee lad and was a ball boy at a Utd v Oldco reserve game around 1989. Mio gets my vote btw.

Going to go with David Robertson, as much as he became a bit of a dick after he moved to St.Johnstone he does, as Rocky Raccoon says, have what is required to be a cult hero. Scored with his arse in the cup replay against soon to be sevco - the 'Treblebuster'. Will always remember him being announced as the Treblebuster the day after the cup final at Tannadice and he fucking loved it. I have never seen another footballer crawl through another players legs to continue a run down the wing (vs aberdeen), and then score the last minute winner in the same game after Floor was sent off in his debut.

Davie Robbo. His goals against Rangers and Aberdeen win It.

Miodrag for me...good friend and old workmate who has helped run the bus fae frews, arab travel for years told me a story in the early 90s they had a POTY doo in the pub and Mio was a total gentleman...was wiping the drink soaked bar clean with the sleeve of his suit to give people autographs...legend
never forget him in his debut i think it was, sure it was a derby...running the wrong way with the ball with dee in persuit and back heel nut megging him and turning on a 6 pence...great player

Reckon Stubby would've got more support if he hadn't been tainted. If I was really unfortunate I'd vote for him as cult bnb cos he made John Duncan with his work off the ball.
Would be interesting to hear what Luggy thought of him.
