Now we know what division we'll be playing in next season. Which players (realistically) would you like us to sign and what kind of players do we need?

Stuart Findlay, Drey Wright and Kevin Nisbet were all rumoured. I also heard about Gauld from a good source.
All of this was before the Coronavirus hit though, so no doubt we’ll be reigning in our spending plans, as will more or less every club throughout football.
Any chance of selling Shankland for 3/4 million is likely out the window too. No English Championship is gonna throw that kind of money around for an unproven Scottish Championship striker, not when their own survival is as stake.
Think we’re gonna see the transfer market as a whole deflate back to normal levels, which isn’t a bad thing. Think 100 million pound transfers are gonna be gone for the time being thankfully, but it does have the knockdown effect of our players being worth less in the eyes of the buyer.

Greg Taylor was Celtic's first choice left back by the time of the shutdown so that is a total non-starter sadly.
A left winger remains the top priority.

Think we need an experienced back up GK
2 CHs
Back up for both RB and LB
Dominant box to box midfielder
2 wingers
1 striker.
Offline
We need a LB, CH,RM, LM, attacking/creative CM and another striker.

Just watching one of our worst ever signings Darren Paterson playing in the FA cup semi Final for Crystal Palace on BTsport 3. Fuck knows how he managed that.
He just been sent off 😂

Siegrist, sorry mate, get rid, flapper.
Another hard midfielder for alongside Butcher.
Still crying out for winger.
Left field question (bear in mind I'm 10,000 miles away) - could we get Naismith ?
Him, Shankland if we can keep him, Nicky Clark, winger + young guys, specially Glass - tasty.

Rather than specific positions we need pace power ( not another Dillon) and players who are good in the air.
Teams like Livi , Hamilton & SJ win games with Arial bombardment and physicality we need to stand up to that.

Priority in my view is two solid, experienced, quality central defenders. Not easy to acquire. Another striker and winger also hopefully.
Also seriously have to keep Lawrence of Arabia, good chance as I think the lad is enjoying it here. Also hope we keep Harkes as I think his contract may be running down? No sure if any other important contracts are needing looked at.

I'm maybe in the minority, but I'm not too bothered by harkes. Hes done some good things but equally, he doesnt strike me as somebody who excels in any 1 position?
It might be different with another year under his belt on bigger pitches tho?

I definitely see something in this lad Tangy. Still young and a bit rough round the edges but has great attitude, good skill and a lot of potential. He is still learning but I like the boy.

What I would give to see us sign a young Narey, Hegarty and Hamish.
They would stroll all over the current team.

Yeah I like Harkes too. Technically good, worker, but needs to harden up although doesn't look like he has that in him. We shall see.

Be happy with that. Liam Smith and O'Donnell for Right back.

He'd be a great signing.
If we get him and Findlay from Killie that would make our back 4 much stronger.
I know it would be extremely harsh and it's not going to happen but my first signing would be a new manager. I like Robbie but I fear we will have a poor start (whenever that is) and that we will be looking for a new manager after about 10 games.
Tommy Wright would be the man for me.

Talk of Greg Stewart the former Funster now.
Honestly think these names are just being put out there to help sell season tickets which are due out within the next week. Can’t see how clubs at any level are even contemplating new signings with so much uncertainty over when football will resume.

👆 100% in my opinion, that and newspapers trying to fill blank pages.
It is vital that United launch the Season ticket scheme that takes into account the current climate, most fans I presume would love to give them their backing but have families to look after as a priority.

Not for me. I think Robbie will do very well for us in the Premiership.
