Here is the interview with Scott Gardiner from today's Sportsound. Dundee are at it. Clearly getting leaned on by someone (likely Celtic).
At the 19th minute in they discuss Nelm's proposal (the one that wanted no promotion for Utd) it was knocked back by the SPFL as late as the back of 3. And Nelms was supposedly immediately trying to propose a 2nd resolution.
This stinks to high heaven.
The blanket silence today from both Dundee and the SPFL is bizarre.

I really cannot understand why Dundee haven’t came out and said a thing!

Even more so the SPFL.
They have been totally called out by the Huns and they haven't responded at all.
I knew this would be a clusterfuck. But fuck me, this is getting very murky indeed.
p.s. interesting Gardiner basically alluded to the fact that he felt the SPFL were 'at it' in saying they couldn't release the prize funds.
A simple vote on replacing an article could have rectified that thus negating the need for their resolution to be voted on and passed so quickly before more discussions could take place.

If the money has been paid from the tv companies to the spfl, then there is no reason they can’t pay all clubs the amount of money the bottom place team get in each league now, sort the rest later. Unless they have been told that certain final outcomes mean paying some money back?

The SPFL chairman released a statement in response a few hours ago.

Was listening to sport sound and the unfolding soap opera was unbelievable. One huge Clusterfuck!!!
Also interesting listening to the Forfar Chairman saying the prize money was not a significant amount and that they needed to know when they could start building a team - ok no one knows that answer at the moment.
The narrative in the press seems to be about the smaller clubs going under, but Forfar contradict that and would be keen to know how many others are the same position.

I'd say the teams most in danger are the semi big teams in the lower leagues like Falkirk, Dunfermline, Raith Rovers etc.
Clubs who employee full time staff out with the football side of the club. And also pay semi decent wages to their players who are full time.

Yep, 100%. The Raith chairman was on SportSound last week and was saying exactly that. Part-time clubs like Forfar who will live well within their means regardless off what prize money they get at the end of the season will probably be fine.

Murdoch MacLennan's (SPFL's Chairman) latest update:
I've highlighted the section about Dundee's vote, as it appears, on the surface, that there was a disagreement at their club over which way to vote on Friday.
I'd think MacLennan has had his letter legalled prior to release, as the SPFL have a lot to lose if they are being dishonest.

If the BNB vote in a way that is detrimental to Dundee United, none of us should ever visit Dens again.
Bennett should sell it to United/ Ogren and we can up their rent by a x100%.
If they're no happy they can GTF.

every club votes in their best interests.
The BNBs want two full houses at Dens against Utd next season.
I reckon that's what this is all about.

I don't think Dundee want to be playing Hearts, ICT or United for next season's title.
They are hedging their bets, as an opportunity has arisen for them to be the kingpins here, and are willing to change their vote from 'Reject' to 'Adopt' (as is their right under SPFL rules, it appears, daft as it seems) to get what they are after, which may be a 14 team top division.

If that's what they wanted they wouldn't have been trying to push for a resolution that kept Utd down.

We'll agree to disagree, and time will tell.

ONLY Hearts from the top league would vote for a larger league. Even in these unprecedented times it's a non starter.
Teams like SJ & Hamilton would never vote for it, it's a vote to lose money. It won't happen.

Potentially another trophy win for United at Dens today?

That was the thrust of my post Beharder. That we should do a boycott on the phuckin place. I certainly wouldna be going near the place.

You can pretty well guarantee that Dundee be loaned a couple of Celtic players next Season.

Yeah i reckon you're right there Bill.
Though it'll probably be more likely to be Calvin Miller or the boy Bayo than Leigh Griffiths (as some have suggested).

The vote they’ve still to vote on would need to be the same vote everyone else voted on. Any other deals would also need to be voted on surely?
