Announcement could and should be made by 5.05 tonight , not hard to tell what way it went or are they going to struggle to deal with totalling up the 42 votes - how many re-counts are they going to do to make it next Tuesday before they tell us

It's all 42 clubs who are taking part, Tek.

Well our nearest neighbours are not in favour of it.
Chunts.
Do I read this right? There appears to be a twist in the vote.
It will not be passed by a simple 75% (32/42 SPFL member clubs) voting in favour.
It will be passed if 75% of EACH LEAGUE votes in favour and for the purposes of each league, Div 1 & 2 are banded together.
So 9/12 Prem clubs have to vote in favour, 8/10 Champ clubs have to vote in favour & 15/20 Div 1 & Div 2 clubs have to vote in favour.
So hypothetically if all 30/30 of Champ, Div 1 & Div 2 clubs vote in favour and 'only' 8/12 Prem clubs vote in favour the proposal is defeated. I think it's gone already from what we're hearing.
Does anyone get the feeling this situation is almost irreconcilable and there's yet to be a torrent of dirty water under the bridge?

That's correct smeDUm. Has to be 75% of EVERY division who agree.
So in the Premiership - Huns,Hearts and Aberdeen will vote NO to the resolution. So just 1 other club in Prem has to vote against it.
Same in our Championship. Just 1 other team has to vote against the proposals (alongside Partick and Dundee) to knock them back and cause chaos.
This situation should never have been left to the clubs to decide. Far too much self-interest at play. Clubs are going to just vote for whatever outcome benefits their club (obviously).
SPFL have made a rip-roaring cunt of this.

The Huns proposal of awarding prize money but not calling the leagues has been rejected by the SPFL.
Nelms's proposal is basically the same, seems like they're saying the league has to be called if you want cash.
Simply we all entered the league competitions under a set of rules and regulations, you can't change the rules once the season starts.
The only alternative to calling the leagues is voiding, which financially they can't possibly do.

weegie Huns or fun Huns?
Bit of a shambles...turns out 5pm wasn't a deadline but a request. Clubs have 28 days to vote and 3 haven't yet...

It would seem the Championship who haven't voted is....wait for it.
Dundee!

Just read there that the FUN did vote No but the SPFL didn’t receive it. WTF did Nelms send his vote in with? Apparently he is now in talks with Peter Lawwell? That’ll be Lawwell telling him to change his vote then.

Dundee fans seem to be lapping this up what they see as a chance to get one over on United.
All this procrastinating will do is anger other clubs who are desperate to get this done and get the placing money.
Very petty again from Scumdee any other team than Utd who were top and they would have yes immediately to get their cash
Even in a time of national crises the BNBs hatred of the Terrors is all consuming for them.

Exactly.
Absolutely pathetic stuff (but not surprising) from the Fun.

Nelms supposedly locked in talks with Peter Lawwell tonight.
Wtf does Lawwell have to do with the situation? He's not on the SPFL Board.
Something really dodgy is going down here.

If a pandemic had occurred in any of the past three seasons prior to this, would we have been so accepting of the SPFL proposal?
Or in our relegation season, just after Ryan Dow had scored the winner at Perth, and with 8 games to go, did we all accept we'd be down, to parallel the situation Hearts are in?
Just for perspective.

My problem isn't with them (Dundee) voting NO Pat. It's their motives for doing so.
If they were doing so because they wanted to push for the season to be finished then i could understand that, of course.
But it has become clear over the past 36 hours that due to the SKY deal and tv contracts it is just not an option for the season to be extended until the Autumn.
So what is their motive for voting NO and trying to push their own resolution on to the table? It's not because they care about the plight of Hearts or Partick Thistle. I know that much.

At a guess, no club is concerned about problems faced by rivals, excepting the Glasgow Gruesome Twosome, who would suffer financially in the long term if the other didn't exist. Therefore I'm assuming all clubs are voting for their own needs and ends.
Dundee are perhaps in a position where there is no rush for the SPFL cash, as they claim to be one of the few, perhaps only club, with some form of pandemic insurance. They stand to lose out on a chance to play in the lucrative top league, as the play-offs are sunk. Therefore conjecture leads me to believe they are hoping to negotiate for reconstruction prior to agreeing any SPFL proposal, which they might consider to be rushed.
As for Nelms being in conversation with Lawwell, he might well be, but how would anyone know? Perhaps I've missed an official statement, and I'd expect different clubs' officials to be in communication with each other at this point, but the impression I get is the story has been plucked out of thin air, as at one time the pair were together on the SPFL board.
All this SPFL resolution has done is cause division at a difficult time. Doncaster and MacLennan should have ensured money was distributed to each club fairly prior to holding a gun to clubs' heads with a resolution which caused hostility.

We would have done exactly what Hearts and Patrick have done no club would vote to damage itself. Dundee have nothing to gain here, except trying to get one up Utd. In my lifetime(more than a few years) that has been their raison d'etre.
They have nothing else to ever celebrate or get excited about. Sad really.

What about our last three seasons? Dundee are looking after themselves, the same as ICT and Falkirk as examples this season.
I don't think they are simply holding on voting to fuck over United, we'll be going up whatever happens.

Yet Nelms is in the background trying to get his proposal on the table i.e. no relegation...no promotion.
