For 1 point can someone tell me which english player has scored the most goals for Dundee United F.C. ?

Is it Billy McKay? I know he is English but played for Northern Ireland

I thought all wartime football was to be declared null and void😏
I'm still waiting on my season ticket refund season 39-40👴

great question
Terry Butcher? He definitely scored one for us
Julie was a good answer from the Founder but aren't his wartime goals considered to be kiddy-on?
Plus he's in the Hall of Fun which exempts him from anything meritorious down Shed way.
So I give you RORY BOULDING. Only scored one but it felt like 10.

The original question had no caveats. I missed out on seeing the player, but expect you can recall him at Tannadice, smeds?

Geeza break Founder, I'm getting on but not that auld.
Neily Mochan was banging them in when I started, standing alone in turning my back on my entire extended family who disgustingly had Tannadice Street South leanings.
It was the best decision I ever made & I'm not kidding.

Pretty sure you're at the wind-up but i can assure you despite his name, Albert Juliussen was from the N.E. of England and then spent the rest of his life in Dundee, where he eventually died.

As the great Roy Walker would say
Good answer but wrong
Although i might have to threaten you with legal action over the sporting integrity of wartime goals being included

What's that Gordon Jackson up to these days I've heard he got a bit of time on his hands.

His mother & father were both Norwegian. Don't know what they were doing in Blyth but having him there does not make him English. One of my daughters who is as Scottish as a haggis supper with a can of Irn Bru happened to have my grandson in Newcastle but that does not make him English. My son-in-law is Australian where they now stay and where my grandson has dual nationality but HE IS DEFINITELY NOT ENGLISH.
Yes, I guess I an on the wind-up a wee bit but Tek's question might have read 'Who is United's top-scoring player who was born in England?' ....But then again they were dodgy wartime goals anyway....and he is in the Hall of Fun.
I'd still give the point to the Founder...grudgingly, but I still think Rory Boulding is the correct answer.

Boulding scored 1 did he not? Butchers scored more than that. 5 I think
Lowingham Braidford scored 6 in the Dundee Hibs days.

Aye B&T but Rory's solitary goal was worth 10.
Is Lowingham Braidford real??
If so we need a Fans Club named after him

Just because his patents were Norwegian doesn't make him Norwegian. Doubt he's even set foot in Norway.
But he was born and spent his formative years in England. That's a FACT.
