Re: Winning the league

I'll be celebrating big time. You can only win the league you are in!!!!

Think it's a great point about the younger generation witnessing success, and a huge relief for us old ones....

Re: Winning the league

Was anyone watching 'Scotland's Game' last night? It's been on before, a very interesting documentary going thro the years & the various events. Last night's rerun was largely about the admins from Hearts to Fun to Gretna to Livi to Motherwell to The Rangers. The latter were featured going thro the league promotions so there was film of them winning the Championship with celebrations onfield complete with stage & flares. So it occurred to me that that will soon be us, presumably at a home game, so we best prepare!

One of my finest moments if not THE moment as an Arab was the 1996 2nd leg play-off with Partick. When Brian Welsh equalised from an Andy McLaren cross in the last minute I remember going absolutely nuts, running about uncontrollably on the concourse. So that being a Championship winner I've got to say I'll be enjoying our promotion this year tho not to the same extent as that incredible moment. Our march to the Prem this year will be much more sedate!

Re: Winning the league

I'll be having a muted celebration.  I might even crack a smile.

Watched it on iPlayer: it briefly shows one of Roger Boli's two disallowed goals with a spoken comment about 'questionable decisions' a few minutes from the end, not in relation to that bit of film, but apt in any case. Mike "Good Goal Nacho" McCurry was the referee.
