Also seen a tweet saying butcher worst united captain, Sections of united fans are a embarrassment and seems they can’t wait for the team to get beat.
See posts like this, I can’t fucking stand them.
If it annoys you that much then reply to it instead of bringing it on here where it might not be seen by the folk you’re trying to make a point to?
No Utd supporter wants us to get beat, the only embarrassing things last night were the team selection, tactics and performance, not what anyone said on Twitter.
And if anyone can show me a worse footballer that’s wore our captains armband I’ll be shocked, and yes I do remember Murdoch wearing it. I know most of the support seem to have a Hardon for Butcher, but that doesn’t change the fact he’s not very good.
Agree with the majority of your post.. only bit i disagree with is the Murdoch part. He was fucking horrendous.

I’m no saying it’s connected however, look at the Caroline flack thing tonight, look all I’m saying is have your opinion but fucking stop tagging players/management in stuff, it plays a part in people’s mental health! Remember were 18 points clear, stop abusing players.

I don't think there is much difference in the level of ability between UTD & Alloa. One point though we have almost zero threat in the air 10+ corners in the last 3 games all won cleanly by defenders.
ATM just need to back the team till May.

Tin hat on here - other than the final ball on Friday, I thought we played OK.
Pawlett beat the full back time and time again but his final ball into the box was poor. The couple of times he did get a half decent ball in, there were no takers.
In the 2nd half, Robson had lots of good chances to get a cross in too but put the ball straight out several times but to be fair to him - I was standing behind that goal and the wind was taking the ball all over the place.
If Shanks puts that chance away a few minutes before the end rather than snatching it wide, we’d all be sitting here saying - crap game but another good three points toward the title.
As a group of fans we really do seem to lurch from one extreme to another - go 15/16 points ahead and all is well in the world, two or three poor results and it’s the end of the world.
That’s not excusing these poor results - yes we should be beating the likes of Alloa and Arbroath but we didn’t. I’m confident the results will come back over the next few games and we’ll all be happy come the end of the season.

Great post Slateford, everything in moderation.
As one of life's great forgivers I totally concur.

Having had a bit of time to mull it over, the result itself is OK given the surface and what looked like horrendous conditions to play a match, on a plus note it was a clean sheet but we did seem to struggle in the same way we have for the past few weeks.
Defence:
Thought Robson seemed off the pace in defence, his crosses were frustrating but as a previous poster comments that could have been down to the weather.
Connolly full of passion as ever but someone in the coaching team needs to tell him to stop putting his elbow up when going for headers - everytime he puts his forearm into the back of the opposition player i fear a free kick.
Midfield:
I think Harkes is the sort of player who needs game time to find form and his injury came when he had a decent run of form and has not been able to get back to it.
While Butcher and Powers are decent players in their own right i feel that when played together they are trying to do the same thing all the time and we end up getting 1 player for the price of two.
Pawlett had a better game than he has had for a while, however he is not the player to provide width his natural game seems to what to make him drift inside - manager needs to find a formation that suits him and others or play the best player for the position.
Strikers:
I though for a debut bingham looked OK and it will take a couple of games to get him up to speed, i was amazed he got the full game.
With Shankland he had a couple of chances and I was thinking am i expecting too much for him to make more of them, but maybe we have been spoiled by his performances.
I feel that most of the management team have to take ownership for our recent form. As per previous dips it seems we have no way of coping with injury problems and then start tinkering with the team and forcing players in where they are not suited and only making 1 change very late in the game when all could see we needed to try something different earlier - like some previous poster i feel we have enough to go up this year but need to start winning again soon..
My big concern is next season is there seems to be a stubbornness from the manager and no willingness to adapt or change the the tactics and that may be what will be most costly for us. If our last 3 league games have not shown that teams have worked us out, get back behind the ball and let the central defence have the ball, then when it does come forward crowd out Shankland to starve him of service.
Stop being so stubborn and develop different tactics to implement - if not it may be Robbie's eventual downfall (btw this is not me calling for him to go, just making an observation of what the future may hold)
Like the majority of teams we're needing a creative midfielder who can open up a defence. If not that then we need to get to the byline as often as possible and two wingers with the support of wing backs facilitate that. As long as it doesn't leave you threadbare the rest of the park.
Oh, and see when you're passing. Give the ball to the man to run on to so he doesn't have to break his stride. It's so fuckn elementary, I'm wincing at least a dozen times a game when any momentum is lost by a square pass or, a hanging offence, the ball arrives behind the intended recipient.
It's not rocket science.
