A wee bit saddened to see Kenny Lynch leave this mortal coil today. Multi talented guy who I mention on the music thread for his contributions to the charts in the 'sixties. Boxing champion in his army days, actor (in Eric Sykes' The Plank and various comedies such as Carry On Loving), all round entertainer, he also had hits of his own in the early 'sixties, and was the first artist to cover a Beatles song.
He co-wrote Sha-La-La-La-Lee, and penned another two songs on the Small Faces first album, plus wrote hits for Cilla and others.
I was a fan because of his early contributions to the Small Faces.

I knew he was a song writer and had a couple of hits himself in the 60s, but had no idea he wrote stuff for the Small Faces until I read that yesterday!
