    The 'good old days' before Health and Safety

    Check out this video of 'Blue Peter's' John Noakes climbing Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square by ladder. Completely unaided without a rope.

    How in God's name was this allowed to happen by the BBC? Absolutely mental. 


    P.s. what a brave, brave guy. The bit he ascends the ladder when it's at an angle made me feel anxious as Hell.

    Absolutely mental that.

    Not just that companies still carry-out practices like that, but that people are actually willing to risk their lives like that.
