Re: Willo flood

Really enjoyable interview.

Willo's a good lad.

p.s. state of Simon Ferry's gutties btw.

Re: Willo flood

Willo’s always around the club. Loves the place.

Ferry is almost unbearable. I do enjoy the long form interview format and have learned to only download the podcasts that are United related.

Re: Willo flood

Brilliant watch.  Willo perfectly summing up what we all have felt over the past 3-4 years in about 2 sentences.

Re: Willo flood

Willo’s a good lad, he was just a bit scunnered with the club as we all were around the end of the Thompson/Laszlo era. Despite how it ended, he was around for a lot of good times at United and was a fucking good player for the majority of it, deserves to be remembered for that rather than his latter spell.

How Thompson ever thought Laszlo was a good appointment is beyond me, you hear all these ex-United and Hearts boys on Open Goal slating fuck out of him and going on about him forgetting boys names and where they played and who they were out on loan at etc. Surely these stories must’ve gotten around Scottish football over the years, all Thompson had to do was pick up the phone to a few people and ask what he was like and that would surely be the end of that. The single most bizarre appointment in United’s history, and one that I can’t wait to forget.

Aye, he's a fine lad, and I'll have to look in on the interview soon. Every time I seemed to have a photo op with a United player, it turned out to be Willo, who was always good humoured about it.

To be fair, a large amount of our supporters were, to coin a phrase I used at one point, blowing smoke up Csaba's arse at the turn of 2018. I think as a support we were relieved when Raymond was replaced, and it's a wee lesson for us all as we went from pessimism to unbridled joy following the ICT game on Saturday.

Sorry to go off topic regarding the OP, but hopefully Saturday was a new dawn as opposed to an uncharacteristically bright one off display.
