We need to keep moving in a competitive market Quality facilities are becoming more important. Football is no longer a working mans game modern customersare more family based. What we need to do is make it a community facilityand get outside financial assistance jim murphy says dundee

St. Mirren have a bloody decent sized scoreboard/screen! Surely we could get something in somewhere, corner between FP/Jim McLean stand and the Shed?

It has been brought up with the club in the past and they said it was the cost of the screen makes it a no go.

Thanks for putting a question through. Had a feeling that is what I had heard a while ago too, so position hasn't changed. It's just when you see St. Mirren with one and even Sevco can afford them. I mean, come on!!!

If at all possible in the future a 'safe-standing section'.
Maybe where the old 'Palestine' was (the unused part of the ground between Shed and Fox).
Stephen Thompson reading my posts and making them so.
Now Jackie about a Goalie......

Fuck a safe standing area, any chance of a quality playing surface?
Fucking disgraceful today, again.

We're going to spend £200k on a "safe standing"? Really? Whilst apparently still having soft loans to pay off, somehow?
Great.

Interesting column in today's Sunday Mail, (some may say to appease our angry fans by giving them an something back) Safe Standing area for Bowers & co he says he will survey the fans on this but i guess the stumbling point will be getting the idea approved by the authorities. Season ticket prices frozen again unlike the pitch yesterday but it is in some state. I watched the subs warm up at half time and the ball would bobble twa dozen times per pass. Quite ironic considering the money spent on the Gussie Adams Arena across the road.

Season ticket prices frozen after they wanted to put them up £20 each.
This plan from Thompson to put safe standing is to get unhappy fans back onside who are unhappy at what he has done recently.

They should install the new astro that also allows real grass to grow through it...seemingly the dogs bollucks

Thompson said yesterday the season tickets were not going up, fair enough, it is the least we can expect after the last week weeks.
He also stated that gate prices have not went up for 9 years but season tickets went up 4 years ago.
That to me says a lot of what Thompson thinks about season ticket holders.
The club bends over backwards to get fans paying at the gate, £5 on Wednesday, £5 to get in now and again with a season ticket voucher, 3 category A games for £45 (£15 per game for any dafties out there)
The longer Thompson stays at Tannadice the more he is going to play the poor me & my family card.
Fuck him.

Trying ti get the unhappy fans back onside with a pr stunt.
Thinks fans are zipped up the back.
Cunt will be spewing if the club actually got permission for it if it goes any further.

Some of this criticism against the chairman is bizarre. We sell 2players lose a couple of games and its open season against the man. The long term financial wellbeing of the club should always be a chairman's top priority. Without Thompson at the helm we were close to having! To suffer the embarrassment of admin

All for safe standing. Would be good to see United lead the way again.
Whats the situation with permissions?

Would imagine would need permission from sfa/spfl aswell as safety certificate from council.

Something to prevent the fans from getting hypothermia tomorrow night might be good.

I'm on this side of the debate right now, but my first reaction at the window was asset stripping.
It's Jackie's Judgements that keep me convinced.
