Anybody know when the players are back for the start of pre-season?

Am I turning into a grumpy old git or does the pre season fixtures (and league cup group stage fixtures) just bore the crap out of anybody else?
Jambos away maybe not a bad day out but thars about it....even then it's on tv too....

I find the league cup group stages can be decent, especially as they are just as I’m getting back from holiday so usually refreshed for a new season, but I agree with the pre-season friendlies bit.
I think one issue is that it can be hard to be enthused for friendlies again teams like Arbroath and Dumbarton, particularly as we are usually playing them multiple times a season on top of the fact they just aren’t as attractive as a glamour tie against a big English club or a European tour.

I used to enjoy the preseason stuff, but like Tangy have perhaps become a grumpy auld git.
The friendlies are most likely to involve mainly our reserve players.
The League Cup has diminished in importance for me over the years, first with the removal of the European spot, all the way through to the present where those taking part in Europe get a bye and an easier route to the semis (with less suspensions).
My first attendance is likely to be the first league game.

Not be going to any of these friendlies. Still on a downer after the dismal play off finals. Going to brechin or dumbarton isn't going to help me.
