The Nicholson one has been doing the rounds for a few weeks now but is playing for a team in America..
He's out of contract in October I believe.
Pre contract and get him when the American season ends then?
Unless a small fee has been agreed to release him earlier from his contract?

Liam Kelly triggered release clause in his Livingston contract today.
Probably heading down south though.

Kinda glad.
Overrated even at his peak. Which was 5 years ago at least.

Lol, why do people want a player in the ‘Scott Fraser mould’?
One of the laziest and most disinterested players I’ve ever seen in a united shirt.
I don’t care how much talent you have, if you ain’t willing to put in at least a decent shift, it’s a no from me.
Even if he was remotely talented, he would surely have been able to stand out in a championship side without shifting his arse? Oh wait, he was lazy and bang average at football.

the Scott Fraser position I assume they mean.
One who can travel with the ball, hopefully at pace, and pick out a pass, ‘take a chance’.
Something he only did rarely. I’d rather call it the Ryan Gauld mould

I saw him against Sunderland recently - was one of the best players on the pitch and put in one heck of a shift. Set up Burton's goal too I think. Maybe he didn't live up to our Sturrock/Bannon/Milne expectations all the time but he's a decent a player

Agree: you have to have a mixture of players in a side, but in a struggling team the more technical footballers can come in for unwarranted criticism. He could have been an asset last season in an area of the park where we lacked guile.
Fraser has done well for Burton, and appears to have been managed well by Nigel Clough, who he credits with improving his fitness, something which wasn't happening at Tannadice under a number of managers.
Which brings me to the point: are United's players as physically fit as they could be? In the past we appeared to sign certain players who had problems with fitness, sometimes following spells of injury. Also at times, the team has looked less fit in closing stages than the opposition.
Is this still the case?

I think you just have to look at Callum Butcher to answer that - he's come back faster, leaner and fitter in my opinion

A lack of fitness was one thing that Neilson seemed to hint at when he arrived.
We tired terribly in his first couple of games after dominating the opening 60 minutes.
Don’t think it seemed as obvious before he came in because Csaba had us playing with such a low intensity that the players didn’t seem to end up being overly tired.

Lionel Ainsworth is without a club.
I know McMullan has nailed down that RW role. But would be good to have another option from the bench.
Frederic Frans, Fraser Aird and Cammy Smith could and should all be moved on this coming week.
1 or 2 in.

Might be fantasy time here but I'd love us to look into Graeme shinnie. Signed by Lampard at derby but a change of manager sees him in the under 23s.
Unlikely to happen but maybe he needs to be playing?? A loan till christmas might help?
