Re: The new away strip

I voted white top black shorts because of history, but maybe we do need a change to reflect the new ownership.  Clearly we can't use the colours of the US flag, but Ogren's baseball team play in yellow.  yellow and black?

Re: The new away strip

The White Top with Black wristbands and neckband, with the
DU
FC
Shield Logo. White shorts. White socks with 2 Black stripes at the top.

That was a cracking strip. There must be a few boys aroond the same age as me who remember us playing this in strip, just before we started playing in Tangerine.

Green shirt, it's different and it upsets people.

See it's got most votes by far, and yes, it upsets people. Some of them United fans.........

Don't really mind what choice is made, as long as it sticks vaguely to our normal colours.

Re: The new away strip

If we were ever going down a different route with the away kit i quite liked the Chelsea grey away kits with a splash of tangerine in there.

Re: The new away strip

Not a big fan of green for the away strip.  Too much of a nod to Celtic and Hibs and all that entails.  That said I thought it was a good addition when it was the 3rd strip.  white and black in some combination or other for me.  White with 2 black hoops is a winner for me, like the black shorts option too.  80's boy....

Re: The new away strip

White and black bold hoops with white shorts for HOME kit

Tangerine and black for AWAY kit

Green can FUCK OFF.

Re: The new away strip

If there was the retro WHITE with two BLACK hoops I would even buy one.
(I used to sell them).
In fact if we don't bring one out maybe I will.

(without the badge, don't want to meet in court)

Re: The new away strip

paint splatter remake, with tangerine piping.......ooft

If the home top os tangerine too, rather than safety orange, i'd be delighted.

Failing that, an all black kit with gold piping. Loads have clubs have used the colour combo

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: The new away strip

I was thinking of the kits and memory of a dark and light grey striped 3rd kit from 95/96 season came to mind.

The thought of stripes in black or white in similar style was a thought I had or if stripes is not wanted maybe in hoops.

I had that top Chris, and loved it.

Recall we smashed Dumbarton 8-0 at Tannadice wearing it.

I bought that kit as well, one of the reasons was it was something different.   I recall that kit being worn in a 6-1 Tannadice win later on in the season against either Clydebank or Dumbarton again I may be mistaken though.

I recall that 8-0 win and remember thinking after that it would be hard to see many worse away sides at Tannadice at that time, then along came CE Principat a few years later to lose 9-0.

I wonder if CE Principat even still exist.

Nope they were dissolved in 2015.

I did not realise that had happened to them.  I remember seeing the name the next couple of years in the early qualifying rounds of Europe and then they seemed to disappear, in fairness I stopped paying much attention to those rounds as well.

Re: The new away strip

As far as an away kit for the season goes I would not mind seeing the club or Macron trying something different in either colour or style, with pink being the exception.

It may not be everyones choice but I did not mind that green kit of 10-11 years ago and if something like that was tried again then I would not be to unhappy.

I admit the more I have seen other clubs unveiling their new kits I have got a little envious and wish United would speed things up a little on that front.   This is also due to interest in what the designs and colour schemes are going to be like.

What about dark blue?  That would be a massive no from me and I'd imagine 99.99% of united fans..

IMO the home kit should be based on tangerine shirt, black shorts and tangerine socks and the away can change from season to season, excluding pink or dark blue.  Shades of red and yellow would more than likely be out too as they are too similar to tangerine.

I'd like to see something that is a genuine bespoke design for the club, but I know that won't happen as we aren't a big enough proposal to the kit manufacturers.

I like the idea of maybe one season having a kit that hints at the Dallas Tornado kit that we wore back in '67.  All tangerine with a royal blue and white trim.  I don't know how well that would go down with others.

Dundee are Macron and their new home kit looks like it’s bespoke so you never know.

I've not seen the Dundee strip yet.  I'm a bit dubious about googling it though.  I don't want that showing up on my browser history!
