Update from the federation from todays AGM.
Members Update
As a shareholder in DUFC the Federation were represented at DUFC’s AGM today and provide the following short bullet point Members Update.
New strip deal with Macron from next year
Hospitality and shop will be brought back in-house
Academy getting significant investment as it is the lifeblood of the Club
GA arena will be back in Club ownership soon
New sports bar ready for just after the start of the season
Promotion is the short term goal
Top 6 and regular European football is the medium / long term goal
Loans now all discharged, so Tannadice is no longer security for a loan
Average gate was 5,550 down from 6,000
Championship teams bring on average 400 fans to Tannadice
Admin included salaries for ST & MM
Future funds will be supplied by MO via interest free, unsecured loans
Next season currently has two budgets depending on which league we are in
Premier league has break even budget but includes increased player budget
Example of difference if win Championship £600k if 6th in Premier £1.6m
Club wants to be significant part of community and will not select suppliers solely on cost thus helping local suppliers
Lift and toilets for the disabled will hopefully be installed in the Westend Flooring Suite by the start of next season
No plans currently to hold talks with Dundee on any subject in a bid to reduce costs
No plans to issue more shares
The Committee , having had a detailed report of the AGM feel very positive about the future and would , as always, urge all United fans to back the team in anyway they can, starting with the Cup game on Sunday.
