Happy with that line-up although many would want Smith in a head of Nesbitt.
(maybe that's a topic for a different thread)
Hopefully with it being a one off free hit type of game we can play with a bit more fluidity. Having our own fans at each end can only help imo.
A decent rest before this one, let's do it at first time of asking. A replay not really what we need. The extra income from a semi-final will boost our playing budget wherever we end up at the end of the season

James Jack - A Tribute
With great sadness the Dundee United Family lost one of our finest a few weeks back when James Jack sadly passed away aged just 31
In tribute to James on Sunday before the game against Inverness there will be a march from The Snug Bar at 3pm to Tannadice to which all are invited.
In addition there will be a minutes applause held during the game at the 31st minute in remembrance of a true gent .
RIP James Jack 🧡🖤

I like Smith links up play well, would start in front of other two! Cannot wait for this, sounds like there bringing a big support down
Will be in the snug before and involved in March

Not sure if you're referring to the Shed when saying they're bringing decent numbers, the Shed is open for United fans on this one. If ive misunderstood you apologies in advance.

Interesting who gets nod between fyvie/ gomis/ Stanton.
If it was a league match I’d definitely play Clark as in good form. If Sow up to it though then chance for Robbie to test what he can do

I'd go Clark for Sow and Stanton for Fyvie.
Back 5 picks itself.

Agree with that Smedz.

We'll miss Butcher against ICT especially, given the type of team they are. When Butcher has been moved away from the midfield, via substitution, injuries to other players, being ordered off or suspended, I think we've struggled.
Don't think we have another physical type with his presence: while he's certainly not a silky player, he does an important job in midfield. I think Robbie will go for Jimmy Gomis in there.
I'd also like to see Nicky Clark in the box much more often.

PS, Brian McLean's brother Steven is Sunday's referee.

Good effort, maybe the prices make a difference on a one off basis? ICT seem to have shifted a lot more than expected, should be a decent atmosphere and crowd.

Over 6000 now including over 800 in the Shed.

Is it correct that ICT have sold out top tier of JMc stand? If so, great effort from them. Cant remember them ever bringing more than a bus-full to Tannadice. If we could get a gate of over 8000 that would be fantastic. I'm in the Shed for the first time in a while. Looking forward to a big game atmosphere.

Ict took more tickets up the road on tuesday night and a cash gate will be open for them for lower tier on the day

Whatever ICT bring we have an opportunity to ramp up the support and volume, intimidate the opposition and do oor bit fae the stands. Ticket sales are good with time to go.
Will be a tough match so we need to do whatever we can to help. If yer thinking tae watch it on the telly then get that idea tae fuck and come along tae Tannadice please.

It'll be strange seeing fans in the Jim McLean stand, when was the last time?
And agreed, well done ICT if they're bringing down a few hundred.
My gate estimate is 6k - 6.5k.

Smeddum. Utd have sold over 6k already. If the Highlanders have sold the top tier of Jim McLean then that's over 6.5k already 😉

Im going to guess over 8k at the game sunday.
If there is then that is 2k+ more than i thought would be when the date/ko time was announced.

Yeah, we're hearing good figures which is brilliant but I simply don't see where 8,000 is coming from.
I'll take <7,000. You have >7,000.
Double or quits.

ICT's official ticketing site showing spaces only available in the lower Fair Play, nothing in the top two sections, with the lower section almost half sold out.
I'm finding it hard to believe:
