Re: Guess what?

It's a shite on a stick. Seems the Scottish Bowel Screening folk think it's a good idea to send out pictures showing you how to get the shite on a stick.

More annoyingly, they are calling it a 'poo'.

It's fucking offensive, a crass picture and the bastardisation of the language..

Its all crystal clear now. Ta. I though it was a cryptic reference to something across the road...

Imagine having the job of the person that opens all those wee envelopes. You could justifiably go to the pub on Friday night and moan that you've had a shite week

Re: Guess what?

It used to be lollipop sticks they sent, but the covering letter has photies now to show you how to use the new kit.

Then you send the shite to Ninewells.

Right enough, I used to send shite in envelopes to Dundee, but that was just to Dens in the past.

I agree. The Scottish Government approach to bowel cancer screening is unashamedly in your face, in the crudest way. I'm just not sure this approach is going to encourage more people to get screened. Before I go any further, let me point out my mother and both aunts on my Dad's side died as a result of bowel cancer.

I don't understand why a more informative, positive campaign cannot be used. The survival rate from bowel cancer is relatively high (and improving all the time).

The current campaign is not smart, it's not funny and it's not witty
