Re: Sieb Dijkstra Q+A - Thursday 6th November 8pm

On behalf of Kiwiarab - Sieb you were a brilliant keeper for us and the 96/97 team has many great memories for me. My question is, can you explain how or why the team declined so badly after the league cup final in 1997 ?

And my own question - are you still coaching and have you unearthed your successor yet?

Sieb, who was the funniest man in the United dressing room at your time at Tannadice.

Re: Sieb Dijkstra Q+A - Thursday 6th November 8pm

Kiwiarab, when i signed in december 96 the team was standing second last from bottom. After that we went on to an amazing 19 games unbeaten run and that was due to the confidence everybody seemed to get.We ended up 3th in the league. In the season 97-98 we struggled a bit but we made it to the coca cola cup final wich we unfortunally lost 3-0 to Celtic. Don't forget important players like Steven Pressley,Mark Perry,Gary mac Swegan and Robbie Winters all left the club

Don't know if you've read my previous question Siebby (as the thread was getting a bit long before you even logged on).

Who was the best player you ever played WITH and AGAINST?

Best united defender i've played with has to be Steven Pressley. He was a rock in defence.
