Took in a pyramid game today, and have to say the quality was really good for teams in the sixth tier. Both sides (Linlithgow Rose and Broxburn Athletic) tried to play positively when they had the opportunity, and some players were really skilful.
One of the most talented was Tommy Coyne, the son of our ex player. He looks nothing like his dad, a bit overweight and awkward, but he, without playing as an out and out striker, bagged two goals in a win against the top of the table team. Coyne has scored over 300 goals in 11 seasons at Linlithgow.
Other bits about the game: £6/3 to get in, and you could go out for a pint in the social club almost any time you wanted.
