I wouldn’t be against Gomis coming in. We need a #10 type.

Could Gomis sit with Fyvie, letting Stanton push up?

Could be good cover for that area with injurys also

Gomis is better than any midfielder we currently have.  Yes he’s not now the player we had first time round, but still better than what we have.  I’d take him, but only after the other areas needing sorted were done first.

Its all about opinions but fir me Gomis was dreadful in his 2nd spell and at 33 is nowwhere near as effective as Fyvie

Agree with this.

Re: Rumour mill

I wouldn't say Jimmy was dreadful the second time around, he just wasn't Jimmy from the first time.

Paton and Rankin were superb together that season, anyone who says otherwise is at it

Re: Rumour mill

Could we sign Gomis on an amateur contract to see us through til January and assess how he has been at that point?

Oooooohhhh yeeeeeaaaaaah!!

Re: Rumour mill

Has Gomis played any matches since February? If not, he's hardly going to be properly fit for a wee while.

Are we not just giving him training facilities? Cannae see him signing being good for either party.

Re: Rumour mill

Rumours heard today.

Trio of Aidan Nesbitt, Morgaro Gomis and Fraser Fyvie have already left the club.

The latter is signing for Cove Rangers 'apparently' and playing part time (and starting his own business).

Also talk of Forfar's Dylan Easton turning Utd down in favour of signing for Barry Ferguson's Kelty Hearts for 750 quid a week and the chance to stay in his full-time job. If in anyway true = bullet dodged.

Fucking loser attitude.

That Dylan Easton rumour has to be a lot of crap.  The £750 a week bit certainly is, Kelly are splashing cash, but they ain’t paying that high.

Re: Rumour mill

I've seen him play. He's decent (plays wide) but I don't think he's that good tbh. Forfar supporters think he's very good though. Heard last week from one that he's going to Kelty. He was scratching his head about it too bearing in mind Forfar could be in the Championship too.

Re: Rumour mill

Know boys who support cove. They were speaking to him at coves game yesterday and apparently hes gone.

No big loss. Great player but can never stay fit and get a run of form

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: Rumour mill

No surprise to see this trio going: from my standpoint I wouldn't have given any of them a contract, apart from one year at best in the case of Fraser Fyvie. Never got the hype with him though.

Plenty more to go out the door I'd expect.
