Which bands/artists or even songs do you think never quite got the recognition they deserved ?

Who would walk down most high streets completely anonymous for the most part,when they should be turning heads ?

Always thought these guys were massively underrated by the British music buying public in the 80's.

Only really started to appreciate these guys in the past couple of years.

Although they were critically acclaimed their lead singer Brett Anderson could walk down most high streets in the UK unrecognised.Unlike his 'Britpop' contempararies Liam,Noel,Damon,Jarvis.

So far that reason i would regard them as 'underrated' or under acknoweldged.

Didn't get into these guys until about 2 years ago. Some cracking tracks

Loved these guys since I first heard them. Had 'moderate' sucess when signed to a major record label in the US a few years back, disbanded and got back together and started from scratch with an 'indie' record label to make thier own 'non manufactured' music.

Seen them at the Barras supporting a shite headlining band, then again at the Garage in Glasgow then at the QMU. Amazing live and deserved to be heard by more.

I love the Eels, did we not have this convo before a few years backon the Mad board about reading E's autobiography?

Electro Shock Blues is one of the most underrated albums.

LOVE the wee segue between 'All Possibilities' and 'You Were Right' in the 'Fed The Fish' medley.Starts about 3:50 in

Absolutely sublime.
