Motherwell V Dundee United - Friday 7th November 7.45pm

Really looking forward to this game, now that we seem to have got our 'mojo' back.

Motherwell are really down in the dumps at the mo and infact could be bottom of the league when we travel there if County can take something aff Aberdeen tomorrow.

An early goal in our favour and i reckon their players heids might go doon a bit.

We only play 2 games in the whole of November.Win them both and we are top going into December.FACT.

Nae idea what the team will be but i would like to see.

...................Czierniak.................
Dillon......Morris...Fojut.....Townsend
.............Paton....Rankin...........
Dow............Erskine.......Connolly
.....................Ciftci....................

Subs - Szromnik,Armstrong,Souttar,Watson,Telfer,Spittal,Butcher

Re: Motherwell V Dundee United - Friday 7th November 7.45pm

Two very winnable games too mate, I think Killie on the 22nd will be when we finally give someone a doing at home.

Agree that an early goal for us will kill them, they hate playing us as they always get a doing so if we score one early it'll hopefully be heads doon.

Top v bottom puts a bit of pressure on us though.

I'd go:

...................Czierniak.................
Dillon......Souttar...Fojut.....Townsend
.............Paton....Rankin...........
GMS............Erskine.......Connolly
.....................Ciftci....................

I take it Celtic don't play their game in hand this month?

As much as i like Souttar he finds guy's like Sutton quite hard to combat so that's the reason i would prefer to see Morris in on Friday.

I believe Celtic's game in hand is in December,Andy.

Re: Motherwell V Dundee United - Friday 7th November 7.45pm

Stuart McCall has just resigned.

Wow.

He finished 2nd two seasons running.Best Manager they've had since wee Tommy.

Wonder how this will effect the Motherwell players mood on Friday.

It might fire them up even more,or they could be despondent.Depends how popular he was i suppose.

Re: Motherwell V Dundee United - Friday 7th November 7.45pm

Wow, didn't see that coming. Wonder what usual suspects will get trotted out, hopefully not Butcher.

Would like to see Danny Lennon get the gig, thought he was harshly treated by St Mirren.

Strange time to make a change too, United, Celtic and Inverness away the next three games isn't giving the new boy an easy start.

More chance of J Mac playing the sash than a xmas tree formation imo but tbh  bud that's no a bad team on paper if we keep the high baws low

Re: Motherwell V Dundee United - Friday 7th November 7.45pm

Ciftci has a hamstring niggle but is expected to make it according to the Beeb.

My only concern is that Nads has had hamstring bother on/off now for a year. It's the type of injury that only really gets better with total rest for a few weeks.

As he's our only 'proper' forward we need him to stay fit.

Re: Motherwell V Dundee United - Friday 7th November 7.45pm

Surprised that Spittal gets the right back slot ahead of Dillon again. I like Spittal but not so sure at right back.

Also delighted to see Connolly starting again.

Our free kicks and corners are abysmal. Again.

Knocking on the door, need to finish one.

Lasley had four fouls in 31 mins and no booking?

Re: Motherwell V Dundee United - Friday 7th November 7.45pm

Very good first half, we totally dominated although Well had a couple of chances when we were caught on the break and one dodgy moment when Rado ended up outside the box.

I would rather see Erskine up top and Dow on wing, more threat I think.

Connolly has been wonderful, Fojut brilliant and Paton and Erskine top notch too.

We should be at least two up, hope we don't regret it.

Kylie McMullan next up on WYOWYN?
