Re: Dundee United V's St.Mirren - Saturday 1st November,3pm

Shifty seemed to play better alongside Connolly, well impressed today, got the feeling back 2nd half, well played lads, only downside is we cannae get a full game out of Bilate, good performance, good 3 points and a good draw in the Cup

Huntedbyafreak's singing was impressive at half time. Luggy (the player not the manager) got an excellent ovation from everyone myself included. Top of the league and starting to play better. Happy days.

Re: Dundee United V's St.Mirren - Saturday 1st November,3pm

My ratings today
Rado 7 couple of important saves, especially the 1v1.
Dillon 7 very solid
Fojut 6 Usual rock at the back, 3 or 4 very dodgy passes tho
Morris 8 Made at least 2 very important blocks, looked well up for it
Townsend 6 Had a few good moments up the left, could have done more
Pates 9 MOTM great composure on the ball and fight off it. Great celebration too.
Butcher 6 Pretty anonymous, couple good tackles in 2nd half
Connolly 8 Think he just won his place in the starting 11, involved in so many good moves, thorn in their side the whole game
Telfer 6 Anonymous while the game was still competitive, good experience for him tho, took the goal well
Armstrong 7 Great effort, good to see him back near his best
Ciftci 7 Poor first half, always wants too many touches on the ball, after he got his goal he started getting his head up tho

Re: Dundee United V's St.Mirren - Saturday 1st November,3pm

when i seen the line up thought what the fuck has he done here got to win or he takes some stick for that althought some bench he has to change the game.

Thought the first half was pretty poor at times but the 2nd half we seemed to be back to what we played like a fair part of last season some really good stuff.

Paton Connolly Armstrong the stand outs for me today

Re: Dundee United V's St.Mirren - Saturday 1st November,3pm

Thought that we didn't play our best in tge 1st half. We seemed to give away possesion far too often, and the Midden seemed able to pull yards on us toward our box when they got the ball, but thankfully their finishing was sh1te.

Big difference when Stretch came on. Upped tempo very noticable. 2nd half we werr by far yhr better team. Connolly hypothetically could've scored about 3. Numerous offsides, but his attempt just before Shifty got the goal was superb. Indeed so was he for the whole game. Between him and Pates for MOTM IMO. Might be the closest we have to Gauldy ATM.

Even being 3 up, noticed another change in tempo whrn Squiddy came on.

The thug was just the worst of the bad bunch today.

Going to night out in the town so bound to end up in bother, but no giving a phuck as we're Top of the League.

Re: Dundee United V's St.Mirren - Saturday 1st November,3pm

I'm wondering if the turning point in the match was Bilate going off injured?

Seems our movement and link-up improved when Armstrong came on and Ciftci went upfront.

Re: Dundee United V's St.Mirren - Saturday 1st November,3pm

When Armstrong came on the formation became more obvious and familiar, Shifty had been dropping back into the left midfield slot whenever they had the ball, think had been asking a bit too much of Shifty and Telfer to be honest. But with the 451 we seemed more confident with the system. The real turning point was the goal tbh, sounds cliche but St Mirren had to go for it and subsequently were there for the taking on the counter the whole 2nd half.
