Never worked out for him at all here but hopefully we are in the hunt for more players! If rumours are to be believed regarding Keatings and Mcmullan the squad is dangerously thin depth wise.

Something fishy about this, IMO

There was a tweet floating about on Sunday....
"Just bumped into XXXXXXX speaking to XXXXXXX in the spar....slating Lazslo, saying all the players are like wtf...He had them in for 3 and a half hours on Friday b4 the game when normally u do a light session on set pieces etc. He's wanting to go on loan to get games but only 3 months or so as think he is confident laszlo will be gone by then"
Guess it was toshney then!

Sounds like when John Collins tried to get the wee hibs need fitter and change the Scottish football attitude only for them to rebel against him and moan that it was too hard and too much work. We all complain that Scotland isn't competing or as fit as other countries etc then we take the players side when they rebel. It's bullshit

Fitness regimes should have a proper structure with recovery days in between high intensity.
Having a high intensity session the day before game day is unusual and would be questioned by most athletes
Collins downfall was because he was a cock and went about it all the wrong way
If you are doing high intensity work to get fit the day before the game it’s like cramming for an exam and shows you haven’t set the foundations

To me. Having the players training for 3 and a half hours on a roasting hot day the day before a match is mind boggling.
Offline
Unreal that we do double sessions a day before a competitive match, sooner he goes the better. Laughable manager.

I'm well aware that Collins is an arrogant prick but my point stands. You weren't there and neither was I but from their testimonies of what they wanted to happen I'd happily take Collins over they wee neddy gimps Riordan and O Connor
Online!
Double training sessions or working on a building site, in a factory or a shop etc.......
IdI have the cumts in for a double session on Sunday also after making them stay back on Saturday to watch the game.
Pampered cunts.

Although still very concerned about having Laszlo at the helm, He has said that the betfred group games are technically preseason games plus the fact we brought in a physical prep coach in, who i pressume/hope is overseeing training sessions, and the double sessions are to get the players fit without sustaining injury ready for the start of the season, so if theres any truth in XXXXXXXXXX(Toshney) spouting that all the players are complaining ..... well , I find this disturbing and very unprofessional, like RR says thay could be puting 8 - 12 hour shifts in everyday instead of having a career doing something thay love. Prima donna's.

The main issue I took with your point wasn’t so much jobs of yesteryear and John Collins inability to manage.
Rather the assumption that Csaba was going about things the right way to get us fitter.
What’s your take on his double fitness session on a hot day, just before match day on another ridiculously hot day for our standards?
If you could avoid the phrases ‘meaningless game’ and ‘practically a pre season friendly’ I’ll give you a cyber pint

Unfortunately laslzo’s authority only extends to the Dundee United team
It’s the sfa/spfl who decide the category of this game and they deemed it a competitive fixture.
United charged entry fee based on that as well
It’s just unprofessional to pull this sort of stunt. It also increases injury risk to our threadbare squad
If getting fit was simply a case of doubling training sessions, wouldn’t you see more and more teams doing that then running everyone off the park?

Not sure why you're taking such a condescending tone just because we disagree. Probably not the best idea to do a double session but I'm sure the session didn't consist of marathons. I also didn't say he was going to instantly make them much fitter.....co oletely confused as to where that is coming from. My point is he's trying to get us fitter after rightly pointing out we weren't in the shape he wants us to be in. For the many negative things I could say about him that's one thing I'm completely on board with.i hope more Scottish clubs do it too. It'll benefit the national team too. We have awful standards of fitness in this country

It’s not meant to be condescending, just generally bewildered at any defence of f this muppet.
I agree that we need to be fitter, but judging on his statements it seems something else to add to the list of things he fucks up.
Why mention marathons? Can you not just say it was a poor idea without offering an extreme then defending against that.
I guess a lot of this is general frustration at our acceptance of where we are. On the other thread I said we always seem to make extreme statements then defend against it.
Things like ‘we can’t sign world beaters’ ‘Alex Ferguson wouldn’t get us promoted’ ‘we didn’t run marathons’
I’m not expecting any of that, a fitter team, yes
Component players, yes
A clear plan and tactics from the manager - definitely
I hope I am wrong but i don’t feel confident of hitting all 3 things this season
Just my opinion

It's not an extreme, I'm literally saying I doubt it was overly taxing work and I'm all for double sessions. If you liked him you'd no doubt be praising him for making the pampered players work harder etc. There's a certain rhetoric for wherever a lot of posters stand on a specific person and it's often hypocritical. Jumping on anyone who defends any single thing isn't particularly helpful and doesn't encourage positive discourse. I'm not a big fan of him but I'll defend him where I feel he's doing things I like and I'll complain when he's doing things I dislike. I'm trying to stay relatively sensible and keep things in a reasoned manner

not too bothered about it as long as hes not taking the competition seriously. I'm not. Why let this competition, which we've no chance of winning, ruin your pre-season schedule?
Not denying he's a bad manager and all that. Maybe if he's doing that ahead of first league game id care more.

Tongie-in-cheek here, but just wondering Tosher going to Aberbrothock, if the intent is to strengthen or weaken them.

You call me condescending then come away with that last sentence??
What’s the implication there - because I disagree with a double training session the day before a game it’s because I don’t like laszlo, and my manner isn’t reasoned or sensible?
I’m not jumping on anyone, I’m stating my opinion on a pretty universally agreed, foolish practice. You literally said it wasn’t a marathon btw

It’s unprofessional. It’s fine to say you dont bother when you don’t go to games. If you invest the time and money, are trying to encourage your kids to support the team, then in my opinion it’s a different story. (Not a dig btw - I know you live abroad)
It’s not easy encouraging the kids along and a humiliating loss to Arbroath makes it tougher.
From a business side, it’s a money generator - we are on the bones of our arse and if beating diddy teams like Arbroath can get us a bit more cash, we should go for it.
Again, I’m not as bothered as my posts might make out, I just think we are cutting him a bit too much slack - hopefully he shuts my pus for me

Tosher scores an own goal, so helps Alloa go 2 points above us in Group A.
