Personally (as in YOUR opinion, no-one else's)?
Been in charge for 10 months now and had 2 windows (1 if rumours are to be believed...but that's ON HIM also if that's the case).
For me?
The 4 Betfred Cup matches versus
Arbroath @Tannadice Sat 14th July (3pm)
Ross County @Dingwall Tues 17th July (7.45pm)
Alloa @Tannadice Sat 21st July (3pm)
Elgin City @Borough Briggs 28th July (3pm)
Win this Group and win it at a canter or fuck off Csábá before the Championship start in earnest the following weekend.
Nae maire bullshit.
Can we get back to being Dundee United please?

Christmas. Seems like it's the first time he's got his identity in the team. Managers don't get near my enough time in this day and age and many great managers would never have become such in this day and age.

Christmas. If we aint top of the Championship at that point, and by a few points, he can do the walk.

Last season I couldn't wait to see the back of him.
Since the end of last season and seeing the way he has gone about his business (with the exception of slagging off Ray about unfit players) is unfortunately giving me a bit of hope.
I don't think its fair to only give him until the end of the Group stages of this mickey mouse cup to prove his worth. He has released a lot of players who had a losing mentality and brought in a lot of his own players, but as always they will need a wee bit of time to gel.
I also think that he has to prove his worth long before Xmas like has been suggested by someone else.
I'd like to give him til mid September/start of October, but the transfer window will be shut by then and you'd like to think that any incoming manager would be allowed to bring in some of their own players, who aren't aged has beens who are without a club.
Heart says mid Sept/start Oct, head says mid August.

First things first, I'm no fan of CL and I would have sacked him after the 3-0 defeat to Morton at Tannadice.
However...
I think your scenario is extremely harsh as the Betfred has no bearing on us getting promoted, which is our No.1 aim. (It's also unlikely if MM is still calling the shots as he clearly wants long-term stability.)
If I was calling the shots, I would try to give him enough time to bed in a title winning side without terminally damaging our chances. He should be given the first round of fixtures at the very least IMO. If we are more than 6 points adrift then it's time for a change.

Turn of the year for me. If we are not top or at least right in contention.

No need to set a timescale. If or when it becomes clear we can not get promoted his time will be up.
There needs to be a bit of calmness in the stands.
Please don't start off the season with a sweepie on how long CL has got.
MM has stated his intention & it's maybe not daft, constant turnover of managers isn't working.
But to answer OP's question May 2019 might be decision time.
As Beharder says, calmness in the stands please.
We, the fans, have a big job this season as 12th man.

I’m tempted to say 9/10 league games.
That’s what McKinnon got.
Bet Fred too early for me and no point gazing in the crystal ball before summer recruitment even finished.
Offline
for me he shouldn't be anywhere near Tannadice after our freefall in the second half of the season.
It looks like the players took the can for last season which imo as I got the feeling the players were scratching their heads at some of his shit last season.
Not feeling any optimism at all this season

alloa at home will be his last game.

I wouldn't be starting the season with Csaba. He goofed up big time and has shown no sign of wanting to play any differently so why keep this failure on. Given we are going with him, I would have a Plan B in place from Day 1

...and what happened next?
With the benefit of hindsight would you have kept him?
If it helps your answer it's worth remembering that the fans were howling for change.
CL deserves another shot, he's got Burger beside him now & Ellis is still here, let's see how it goes.
Offline
I watched him have 11 players back defending every corner.
At Brechin.
In a friendly.
Early signs are he’s learned nothing

imo we would not have went up with McKinnon in charge either as his away record was howling.
Why does he's deserve another chance? What do you know about Burger that makes you think he can make a difference?
Failure should not be rewarded the Chairman said..it sure does not look like it to me.
They say everyone deserves a 2nd chance.
Ray's getting his at Morton.
What's Mixu up to, I think there must be a long list of mangers without jobs.

I've not got much time for Csaba, but have to agree with Beharder's comment.

We're stuck with him for a while.
I predict we'll be singing his name from the stands before the season's over.
Tho I've been wrong before

I hope he gets off to a good start, I really do. Prepared to give him another go. Think he deserved some stick for last year but my anger was mostly with the playing staff.
As far as the betfred goes. Id be happy i we treat it like the challenger cup or whatever the fk it is. Or just make it your pre-season. Wont be calling for his head if we get knocked out. Just want us prepared for game 1 of the league campaign.

Csaba laszlo tangerine army!!!
Can’t get sacked when we will win the league

I guess you guys are a lot more forgiving and patient than i am. Fair play to ya's.
For me, personally though (just speaking for me).
Mr László is incredibly fortunate to still be in the Dundee United Managers job.
He has made 9 new signings and got them all in early so they have all had a full pre-season under him. He has guys like Keatings back who will be akin to a new signing as we barely seen him last season. We also in Allardyce and Chalmers have 2 young guys who look ready to push for 1st team action.
So that's a brand new team for all intents and purposes. He's also moved on all of the supposed 'deadwood' (bar Edjenguele and Scobbie who apparently is happy to let go). So this is 100% his team now.
For me we hit the ground running and smash the opposition in all 4 games to send out a message to our supporters and the other Championship clubs that we 'mean business' this season.
The usual lacklustre displays would have me very deflated. As it is i have very little enthusiasm for the new campaign at present.
That is mostly down to Csábá László still being in charge as i have very very little faith in him.
We should be taking care of teams like Alloa, Arbroath and Elgin with minimum fuss and i would also like to see us go upto Dingwall and for once win and win well.

I am somewhat nervous over the signings he's brought in. Other than Frans, just dont know enough about the others to say we are a better side than last year. We'll see.
