1) Nicky Clark ~ Striker
2) Callum Booth ~ Left Back
3) Sam Wardrop ~ Right Back
4) Craig Curran ~ Striker
And a supplementary question.
Do you think it is Luggy signing these boys?

I dont know an awful lot about the players themselves.
On the face of it, They are not over the hill journeymen looking for a last pay day. They are all at a good age, All have experience and all come with a point to prove.
Not sure who's signing them but I was under the impression Luggy's remit was southern England?

Biggest problem for me is the manager or at least the lack of a proper one. The consensus last season was that we had a decent squad, didn’t pan out that way though although I think we might have done better had we someone decent in charge. These remain my thoughts for next season - it doesn’t really matter who we sign if we carry on playing the same turgid stuff as we’ve played for the last 4 seasons and there’s been nothing from Csaba to suggest he is going to change.
At the moment we’ve got a squad of 16 including 3 with long term injuries. 2 who are free to find another club. Of the remaining 11 we have no keepers, 3 are youngsters and 4 are newbies who we’ve not seen in tangerine yet. Lots still to do

Clark i think will get decent amount of goals decent signing, booth never saw alot of thistle games on telly but when i did he never impressed me at all thought he was pretty poor to be honest, wardrop no idea at all wasnt at any of our games vs dumbarton last season but celtic do have a very good academy team so hopefully he will be decent if he has been with them 9 years he must be a decent prospect you would think, curran absaloutley shite

Nicky Clark- 40 goals In 2 seasons. He's a goalscorer we needed. He must be played with Curran to be most effective. If he gets service he will get goals. He knows the club and league well.
Callum Booth- SPL experience. Attacking plus better than Robson. My Hibs mate at work said he was good with them and would've become a main fixture but suffered a bad Injury. He did say a few Hibees wanted him back as cover. He knows the club and league well.
Sam Wardrop- 22 games last season for Dumbarton so knows what It takes to play In this league and against United. Played for Scotland at 15, 16, 18 and 19's plus he was captain of Celtic 21's so he must of something about him anyway. We've been crying out for an attacking RB.
Craig Curran- Big striker who will hopefully work well with Clark. I watched the final sportscene of the season and he looked good against Perth saints. He scored and won plenty of knockdowns. Hopefully a big target man that won't take any shite.
We need now: 2 no nonsense centre backs. A wide player and a CAM.

And two goalies.

I'll not comment on them until ive seen them play. Basically because apart fae clark i cant recall seeing them play. I'll gie them a chance first.
I'd be careful about assuming they're Luggy signings - has CL not been living in Edinburgh the last few years, might have been going to games and keeping up with things.
Just no way of knowing

Roger, Curran isn't 'big'.

Get him released now.

Hopefully Fraser Aird will be good.

Don't think Luggy is signing these guys, and don't know how they will fare with us.
Clark should score plenty given service: providing that service has been one of our several problems for the past three and a half years though. Wardrop has a good background.
Booth and Curran possibly have to do more than the other two to win over the support.
If Aird signs, I'll not be too excited either, but this is the level of signing we are blessed with now.
A bigger worry is thinking Fyvie will return as some sort of saviour in October, and be match fit by maybe later in November. Chances of winning the title may well be gone by then (and Csaba too).

....and the club just announced Luggy as chief scout and Psycho as Scottish scout...so take your pick 😀

Not sure why everyone is knocking Curran so much? People are saying he's not tall enough, doesn't have a great goal scoring record, when Noel Hunt joined us he didn't have a great goalscoring record and wasn't the biggest but while with us he had a decent scoring record and was very good in the air for his size (5'8")

A bit unsure so far. It still looks like we are signing boys off the usual merry-go-round of players and failures. Most important thing is have these guys got the heart? Are they up for the fight that this year will be?
Massive target man is an absolute must for an outball in this league though. 6ft 2 minimum.
Mikkelsen was barely 6ft and won next to nothing. Lyng was 6ft 1 and won nothing whatsoever. Compare that with Lee Miller and Ryan Hardie.

Tbf and has been pointed out elsewhere Smirren romped the league without much height up front (bar Sutton who I don't think was a first pick)

This is true. I agree with you. I just suspect that the way we play probably requires an outball unless we are going to try and suck teams in and hit them on the break or try and get in behind teams. Nothing we've seen so far from Csaba suggests we will play like this though.

We're screaming out for a left winger IMO

Aird on the right and McMullan on the left could work. McMullan was actually coming onto a game before being inexplicably dropped for the play-offs.

There has been plenty hints that Luggy is doing the signings. People who normally know what’s going on, are congratulating Luggy on the signings.
What is Csaba actually for?

I'm pretty sure it's him too.
Signing Ralston from Celtic and now Sam Wardrop and allegedly Jack Aitchison.
He has 2 or 3 contacts from Celtic i know he keeps in touch with (Miodrag Krivokapic, George McKluskey, Tommy McIntyre).
He seems to be very heavily involved in the recruitment.
Anyone noticed btw. Not one of the players who have signed have mentioned Csaba in anyway shape or form.
Normally you would hear something along the lines of 'i had other offers on the table but the Manager convinced me to sign here after hearing his plans'.
There's been nothing like that at all.
Only Laurie Ellis has been mentioned (by Callum Booth).
p.s. i reckon Fraser Aird is a fantastic signing. Really happy with that signing.

The signings so far seem decent to me. Appropriate for our division and young lads. Realistically best that could be hoped for (which is not a lot unless someone comes in to buy united with serious cash)
We are still screaming out for big striker and tough midfielder and two centre backs.
Our problem last season was being bullied too easily. This is a very physical league. You need to win the physical battle before you can win the football match.
St Mirren didn’t have massive strikers up front but they did have a physical central defence and were not easily beaten
Shame about the manager but it seems MM is committed to csaba. More good signings will be needed to bring us up to the level needed

People were slating the luggy appointment not too long ago.
I still think it’s going to be a very good bit of business. A man who has bags of experience at winning promotion on small budgets is worth listening to. Knows a player IMO.

I wasn't, personally.
But see if he is the guy scouting these boys we are signing....let's stop fucking about wi Borat and get Luggy confirmed as Gaffer.
