Tin hat on but i genuinely ain't bothered.

His 'talent' is massively overated imo. So one footed it's no real. Can take a decent free kick but not the type of player who i think will ever evolve into an absolute top player for me. Doesn't have the heart or desire of say an Andy Robertson or even Barry Douglas for that matter. Has no real pace and ain't good in the air. In short a bit of a 'one trick pony' for me.

As he is under 24 we will presumably receive a 'Development fee' if he stays in the UK?

Pleased to hear he’s moving on. Has been part of a team for last three years that proved they weren’t good enough, we should be striving to improve.

Wish him well for his future but not convinced that it will involve top level football north or south of the border in the long term.

Agreed. He does have a bit of ability, but nowhere near as much as some would have you believe, and certainly not to the level of many other players we’ve lost in recent years. As you say, there’s far too much missing from his game for him to ever be a big success anywhere else. I can’t see him ever making it higher than a mid table SPL team. He just doesn’t have enough dig about him to do anything down south. He’ll infuriate his next set of fans as much as he did ours, any supporters with any sort of standards and expectations regarding their team simply won’t put up with his fairy-ish disposition and all the pussing about with his hair.

For as much “talent” as he supposedly has, I’ve yet to seem him ever really take a game by the scruff of the neck, and could probably count on two hands the amount of above average performances he’s put in for us.

He needs to forget about money short term and get a club which will give him the coaching to reach his full potential. There is a player there if he can fill in the missing links but there’s still a long way to go.

Fraser, in a good team, will be fantastic (see our 7 or 8 game run this season where we looked the real deal) but as soon as a bit of dig is needed, he will disappear. All the best though, Scott.

Thw lad has talent of that there's no doubt and did start to apply himself better on his final comeback for us.

I hate constantly kicking United however is it any wonder why the lads leaving, we messed him about so many times by trying to rush him back to soon. Time and again we done it and no doubt we will try the same stunt with Fyvie although I get the impression he has his napper screwed on the right way.

Another reason again sorry but Lazlo again playing him wide right when every United fan knows his best position is through the middle, Christ the clue was his shirt number Csaba.

Good luck to the lad I hope he goes on to have a decent career, and maybe it is for the best as we will need to battle our way next season whatever end of the championship we end up at next season.

I would agree with that Scarpia abroad is the place for him. He would get absolutely murdered in the English lower leagues.

That is the other problem with him. He's so injury prone.

Now obviously no player wants to be injured and there is an element of bad luck about his variety of injuries.

But i also wonder if an underlying issue is a mixture of not being strong enough and his cardio needing to be upped.

Regardless it's someone else's problem now.

I always thought the cut-off point was 24? Maybe it's changed.

From SPFL regulations on their website:

‘Compensation shall be payable to the former Club of a Player only where the Player concerned is Registered with his new Club at or before the end of the first Season in which the Player concerned reaches, will reach or shall have reached the age of 23’

From that, if he signs for another side in Scotland they will be due us compensation. He only turned 23 on 30 March.

Agreed, incredible! Best player by a country mile, boy doesn’t lose the ball! Dangerous from free kicks etc , just cause he doesn’t get stuck in he gets a really hard time, Ive absolutely no doubt he’ll go on to much bigger and better things

100% agree. No coincidence our dip in form when he was out. Best player we had in the run in. Not that bothered hes left just because I knew there was nay chance of us keeping him.

my reading of that is he would have to sign before the end of the current season for us to be due compensation, no?

Some great points made on this thread, both in support and against Fraser's abilities.

He's suffered bad injuries, and been played out of position by four different managers.

Fans criticise him for his inconsistency: he's never had consistent and sensible management.

He might have ability but he didn't show it enough, despite having plenty opportunities to show it.

He's been part of the mediocrity of the last 3 seasons at the club, a parting of ways is best for both parties.

Any good Manager worth his salt that done his homework on us would only need to tell his Left back to tuck over a bit onto his right by 5 yards as to not let Fraser get onto his left foot. Job done.

Surely that's down to the player to work on then? It could be argued he was played on the opposite side to allow him to cut inside and have a ping. Either way, wasn't working and probably best for both parties to cut their losses. Can't see him doing much in the game to be honest, another young boy not fulfilling potential---how many out there the same?
