For agents read point d. They are all Zombies or Darren Jackson's pals. They all fucking hate us with a passion.

Expect that we are in the loop for some loan signings (despite previous comments otherwise) and they'll be later in the window.
The problem with loan signings, if (and it's not that big an 'if') other managers find Csaba a laughing stock, why would they trust the club with their players on loan?
And players speak to each other throughout the clubs: will some be willing to come and potentially waste their time at Tannadice under the present regime.
It's difficult for me to think this of Csaba, as I don't like to write folk off, and in the past have never sided with contributors who heavily criticise players. But Csaba has shown absolutely no redeeming features as far as management is concerned, and I'm stunned that any supporter should be sticking up for him through anything other than blind loyalty to the club.
Fair comments. Guess that means we're unlikely to get worldbeaters anyway.

You A-D criteria all have an influence on players decisions. Number 1 by a country mile is wages.
At our level money dominates.
Look back to the Gretna situation players happy to play in the 3rd division over the sp due to wages.
Adam Rooney leaves the 2nd best team in Scotland and a chance to play in Europe for the 5th tier of England.
In short 99% of players who have turned down the terrors will have a better offer elsewhere.

True and our revised wage structure might put some off but then again, we were paying bigger wages than many SPL clubs over the last two seasons and still only recruited utter shite.
I wouldn't discount the effect of what Col Donaldson said about the Utd fans as well, even if he is a prick. Modern players are all on chat groups on Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter etc. not just with players from their own clubs. If people are slating our support it will turn off some players especially when the other factors mentioned here are also factored in. What you are then left with is usually the lower end of the players available sadly.

Online!
Absolutely gutted at this.
This is truly the signing that has brought home the reality of where we are as a club. No ambition, no imagination, no hope. We’re a top-6 of the SPL sized club, with a bottom half of the fizzy pop league mentality.
A truly sad, sad day for the club.

a reality check is required here.
We are probably offering wages comparable with the 6/7 tier on England.
If this time last year we signed Craig Halkett im sure the social media experts would have slated him. If Watson signs he may turn out to be another Scobbie but I will judge him on what he does in tangerine.
This for me too.

I don’t seem to remember him having a bad game against us, then again the we we play doesn’t really test any centre back or keeper - most can usually get the deck chairs out for games against us

So the 4 players he hoped to have signed for last weeks match.. have they fucked us off a d we have now started the panic signing?

This signing shows how far we have fallen. I've accepted that we will be like this for years to come. Waste of a signing, guy couldn't get a game in a poor falkirk side last season. When certain posters say we are linked with Ronney, Stokes etc... We couldn't even afford their trip to St Andrews, hence why we sign the likes of Watsons. Years ago, we could of signed the likes of Ronney, Stokes but not now though, sad times. We have a hopeless manager and a chairman that likes him.
You can see I'm excited for the new season....

Is it this Ronney Stokes you're on about?

I'm gutted we're no signing Ronny Stokes mate.
We are obviously lacking in size and un done by wrang sizes.
These things are killing the club tae.

I follow the secret footballer on twitter
A couple of weeks ago he went through the transfer market and what it’s like
He said quotes like this and ‘it came out of the blue’ pretty much mean that you were 8th on the list of choices and also that the board has likely started panicking by that point 😕

You don’t need to be a genius to spot a panic move when you see one.
There’ll be more to come, but it appears even the panic transfers are proving difficult to convince.

Heard today Robert Thompson ex-Utd youngster is our target man target. Wonder how far down the list he was?

Wow.
Safe to say he wasn’t even on the list, or the 2nd list.

Nae p btw ☺
Still a year to go on his contract with Morton - doubt he's an onerous wage so obvs Ray doesn't rate him ( if true)
Certainly sounds about right....

this thread needs blocked the same way as all recruitment needs blocked until we install someone who can organise 11 players to play football and beats some part time teams.

Yannick Loemba: didn't play much last season, only 116 league minutes, but four cup appearances too. Wonder who managed to scout this lad, and when they saw him? My guess is he was spotted on a computer screen.
Edit: I'm not writing him off, just puzzled as to how we might have come up with this player.
