STATEMENT FROM CHAIRMAN
Like every United fan I am bitterly disappointed with the outcome of last night’s game and the prospect of another year in the Championship. Frankly, the team’s performances across the campaign haven't been good enough and you deserve better. In fact, the only constant this season has been the unswerving support shown to the team by our loyal fans.
When I was appointed as Chairman ten weeks ago, I said I would undertake a root and branch review at the Club and much has subsequently happened behind the scenes. Over the next few weeks we will gradually roll out resultant changes, starting immediately. We will improve every aspect of the Club - all in an effort to bring back the United way.
Thank you once again for your continued support and I am truly sorry that we haven't delivered for you this season. I urge you to remain faithful to Dundee United and promise that I will do my very best to make 2018/19 a season to remember for the right reasons.
Best wishes
Mike Martin
Chairman

I’m looking forward to the changes that are going to be happening in the very near future. But I don’t know if Mike Martin realises the strength of feeling against Csaba Laszlo among the fans. I’ve yet to meet anyone that feels he deserves a further crack at getting us promotion.
I agree with MM that we need to stop firing managers every time that things aren’t going our way. Stability’s key to getting this club back to where it belongs. But Laszlo’s not the horse that we should be backing.
Robbie Neilson, Stuart McCall and Peter Houston are out there. I’ve heard also that Tommy Wright feels he’s done all he can with St. Johnstone. All of these guys come with a proven track record, and can be trusted to rebuild this great club.
Perhaps one or two of our multitude of fan groups can send a letter to Mike Martin, just to let him know the strength of feeling there is against Laszlo continuing.

If MM doesn't understand that generally the support is not happy about Csaba staying on, then he's in the wrong position. Which he maybe is anyway.

From being communicative last year, and responding by email and personally to concerns, the board now appears to be in 'ignore mode'. Recent attempted communication has been blanked by the club, but maybe an approach from fans' groups can make a difference. An exception has been Moira Hughes, but she can only respond as instructed by the board.

This Is the same MM that come out In public last week and back that useless wanker Laszlo.
He's also Thompson's pumpet.
I won't hold my breath.

If the chairman had came out in the last few weeks and said CL will not be here next season he would have rightly have been called an idiot, realpolitik from MM

Retaining Csaba is not the change that will bring back the United way. Does Martin have a scooby what the United way is. I’ll give him a clue is not the kind of football we’ve witnessed over the last 4 years and it’s not the kind of football that Csaba has played to date.
