Take over

From what I have been told (straight from the horse's mouth), takeover will be announced next week

Big changes are coming. Dark cloud will be lifted.

Re: Take over

Is the horse owner/mouth giving anymore details regarding it?

Any word on whether this 'takeover' is gonna be tied in with a United FC Group/ US Sports team?

Or is it (please) a clean break from Thompson completely?

It's the former mate.

The group will own a network of clubs. Whether that will be the case straight from the off I don't know, but that's definitely the plan going forward.

Re: Take over

The worst part of this will be if its to be believes that mike martin will remain as chairman.
We need a total clean out from that level down and that includes mike martin

Hmmmm.

Can't say I am jumping for joy at that news. Will wait to hear the full details of course (or whatever details we are deemed worthy to hear about as fans) but see bottom line for me I just want an owner/s in charge who's sole focus is Dundee United Football Club and making us the best we can be as a club. No other distractions.

I am also now concerned that Stephen Thompson will still somehow be involved by association (at the very least) behind the scenes. I get a wee whiff that all this is a bit to 'good to be true' and there is gonna be a catch.

Bit deflated to be totally honest. But maybe i am being unneccessarily cautious/pesemistic.

God i hope so.

I dont think he will sell all his shares. He needs to be gone and all ties cut with that family.

.....and we have some detail.

Hopefully, if it happens, it'll be good thing - but a certain amount of caution and, when it comes to it, questioning would be prudent.

Re: Take over

This must be the reason why Martin won't sack Csaba, leaving it for the new owners, whoever they maybe, to make that decision and get in a manager of there choosing.

Re: Take over

As an aside, with United (Thompson) exhausting all avenues of income, credit, loans etc.. I wonder why stadium naming rights were never offered for a few shillings?

Might be in our future..

Me too but if I was part of the take over I'd be telling nae cunt about the progress. Everything is picked to bits in a more negative way with leaks to forums without the ability to sell the ideas, investments and changes intended.
