Hopefully not forever although certainly the case with the league we are in. Look at it this way... at least when you come to that realization, you can conclude its really about being less shit than the teams around us.

Very true sir
We need no nonsense no mistake football
Bring in Durnan Gillespie & Mikellson for the Livi games if we can match them in the air they have nothing else to offer.
There are no good teams in this league

There are no good teams in this leagueagree with 2 of the 3 Murdoch was one of our best players tonight. flood out and king out if we bring in durnan stick murdoch lb that seems better as robson is total pish
Should have added play Murdoch at LB . its not hindsight i posted that earlier in the thread.

What another almighty Csaba shambles again for the first 57 minutes of the game. The team was clueless, couldn't pass, couldn't tackle and were extremely fortunate to still be in the game. I would have sacked Csaba at half time for that selection and those tactics.
Why wasn't Mikkelsen on from the start in the home tie particularly given United were putting in crosses (which they rarely do) and playing long balls which were all too easily defended.
Csaba take note United scored from a ball played into the box to a target man who helped create the equaliser and scored from a midfielder chasing down a lost cause and having a go. They could have played that stupid passing/possession game from now til Christmas without coming close to scoring.
There may be a time for playing (Csaba's words) the "patient passing game waiting for the killer pass" but that time is when the team is 2 or 3 goals up not when the team is level or behind.
In response to a previous thread the team gave the fans nothing for 57 minutes and got nothing in return (what a shitey home support). Once the goals went and the team started scrapping for every ball, the fans got right behind the team and helped see them through the final stages. Bin the turgid stuff and give the fans something to get excited about

Stanton's is one of my favourites this season. Looked good fae the ETL, looks even better on the zone.
Fae Raĺston winning the header, McDonald's layoff to Stanton, quik pass to Flood then for McDonald again to lay off for Stanton just 6 or 7 yards into the opposition half and fae that point get away/past/through 5 opponants including the keeper with a fuckin nutmeg!
Fuckin beauty!

He actually nutmegs Morris then nutmegs the keeper.

Havent watched all the games but have to think that's as good a goal we've scored all year

After the slating I've given Csaba, credit to him for making the change at half time. Although the wide players weren't great last night (McMullan, King, Robson and Ralston too) everyone played a part in a hard fought victory over the form team of the division.
Fantastic goal from Stanton, and the experienced Flood and McDonald too stood out for me.
I also though Willie Collum was okay last night, at one point in the first half he sensibly calmed Willo Flood down, and issued no bookings in the match, even although I was looking for him to do so a couple of times.
That lady linesman though, wasn't McManus a good distance offside when he went one on one with Mehmet?

I’ve slated Shabba recently too however he does deserve credit for last night. Felt before the match he picked a strong team with a decent bench also , but concerns about lack of height there. We were utter shite in the first.
He obviously managed to motivate them at half time though, brought Tam on and changed tactics. The difference was there for all to see. Credit to the players who dug deep and showed the type of desire, commitment and effort we have been lacking all season. Show this in the next games and we have a chance here.
Stanton’s goal possibly our goal of the season and in such a massive match. Well done Sam.
McDonald excellent, Ralston, Flood and both goalies. Gutted for Mehmet, at least the lad has passion, I like him.Credit to Harry for that wonder save, he looked much more assured and confident last night.
Thinking back now I agree Gollum reffed the match no too bad.
Massive queues after the gehm for Livi tickets so came home and bought them online. Really looking forward to Monday night under the Tanny Lights again. SRYB.

Ended up having to pay in coz I'd lost my ticket.
1st half was very dull. Pars were the better team with Mingingbottom running rags roond Robson. The number of times we took thow-ins which ineviteively went backardys was horrendous. There was a few attempts, a couple fae McMullan, Mosher, Skippy, and Fraser, but none were on target. A number of crosses into the box, but with no target man, they came to nothing.
Bizarre free-kick at the half-way line, getting taken by Mosher. ah chunt's shouting, "get it up", but he seems to be having a go at Robson, who's only 10 yards in front of him, to come for the ball. Mosher plays it short instead of hoofing it forward, and nae surprise Robson disna react, and Mingingbottom collects the ball and runs into the box we it. Abody in the GF screaming WTF.
Wouldna think bringing big Mick on 2nd half would have an effect but it did. There was another 10 mins of the turgid stuff, then the corner. King takes the corner, big Mick buts it to Skippy who wallops it in. From this point onward we are on the front foot.
Dennis the Menace had tripped on a divot when he jumped in celebration, and was down for a couple of mins. Seemed to recover, but doon he went again, and on came Flash Harry, both keepers getting great applause.
Just aboot the 70 min mark, from a corner, PC Murdoch nearly nipped 1 in from the haed but it was just over.
Shortly after, as phobia has alluded to, there was a great bit of interplay from Ralston, Willo, and Skippy to Stanton, he runs past 4 Pars players and nutmegs Morris and Robinson. Never heard such a celebration at Tannadice this Season.
There was a no bad attempt from Fraser from the edge of the box, which the keeper caught. Couple oe boys aroond me asking how he didna cross to big Mick, who was on the 6 yard line, but he was affside so it wouldna coonted.
The roar on the final whistle was the loudest there's been at Tannadice this Season.
Went to the shop after the game to get my ticket for Monday's match so didna get hame till the back oe 11.

Mingingbottom
That wee mutant was excellent in the first half actually. There clearly is a player in there beneath the scummy , Ned like exterior.
Also should have said great support fae the stands second half. Well done Arabs.

No probs mate.
See Ralston and their Keeper having a wee set too at the full time whistle. Wonder what all that was about?
p.s. the state of Callum Morris at the start of the game. He really doesn't like us much. Prick.

Don't know so much, that was a sweet 1-2 with Stanton for his goal.

Probably because their keeper is an absolute prick and a cheat.

It was Murdoch. Robinson looked like he didn't want to shake hands, but it would be heat of the moment stuff, no big deal.
