Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

So tomorrow night we will doubtless face the latest indignity of our once proud club by having to witness the league winner's celebrate their (deserved) triumph on our own turf.

No fucking idea what the team will be (I know what it should be) but if any of they fucking so called 'players' have any self respect about them or any pride in their own personal reputation then they will give our support the performance we deserve i.e. a win (despite the Manager) and deny those cunts the chance to lord it up on our patch.

My team would be (injury permitting).

...........................Mehmet.........
Ralston.......Durnan....Edjenguele....Robson
McMullan....Gillespie...Fraser...King
.................Mohsni....McDonald...

Subs - Lewis, Smith, Mikkelsen, Kadded,
            Murdoch, Scobbie, Stanton

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

I remember looking thru the fixtures at the start of the Season, thinking,  "oh that'll be a good gehm" - a gehm where a win might help seal a title win, even a title decider, with a big attendance, after wiping the floor with most, if not all of the teams in this League over the Season.

Now I don't phuckin know. Half of me thinks that we'll get a win and crash the Midden's perty, the other half tellin me that if we're not leading approaching full-time, I wont be there 1 second after the final whistle to witness another west coast ming and m0ng hoor perty.

You weren't wrong.

Got offered a ticket for Man City v Liverpool so heading to the Etihad to remind myself what European Semi Final nights are like. Love to find out later that I missed a cracker but somehow don’t think that will be the case

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

The only consolation tomorrow should be a decent travelling support to boost the coffers, how many would we take to their place if the roles were reveresed?

Cant say im particulary looking forward to this but as the song goes where were you when you were shite, tempting as the Champions League is I'll be in my usual seat

Fuck the coffers, don’t want Thompson getting any money.

They’ve sold out the shed which Is 1800 (plus they’ll probably have a few more In the Fairplay and some Newco).

We took 1900 down to Partick when we were basically relegated so reversed roles I’d say we’d take 2000 anyway to St Mirren.

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

I really hope that we'll beat the Midden tonight, but it's sickening to think that they might have the title sewn up before Celtic and Man City.

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

Game brings back memories for me of the csambles in Paisley where we got the early penalty and no-one knew who was earmarked to take it. Eventually McMullan blundered from the spot, again failing to keep his shot on the ground.

But looking at the entire season, I don't think everything turned on that kick, we have poor quality throughout the squad, nobody playing as an out an out striker, inconsistent defensive choices, softness in midfield, wingers who can't cross the ball. The list goes on.

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

For the first time ever, I've decided not to bother going to Tannadice tonight. Can't stomach the thought of going to watch those shiftless bastards and that fanny in the dugout disgrace this club any longer.

Man City-Liverpool will be much better fare, two teams going hammer and tong to try and make the semi-finals of the Champions League, while we lie down and spread our cheeks, as St. Mirren become the first team in Britain to clinch their title this season.

I love Dundee United, but I fucking hate each and every one of those cunts disgracing the clubs good name at the moment, from the players, to the coaching staff, to that condescending baldy wanker in charge of the club's social media.

Never thought I'd see the day where I'd willingly choose not to go to Tannadice.

Interesting bench
Lewis, Scobbie, Robson, Briels, Matty Smith, Mason and Glass.

Not a lot to call on if the forwards mis-fire

Drop the keeper - keep a clean sheet against run away leaders - who’d have thunk it 🙄

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

Altogether better attitude and effort than we've seen in some time.

Rode our luck at times in first half.

Second half we gave them a lot of the ball but they never really looked like doing much damage - only one save for Deniz second half that I can think of and we might have been a little more comfortable if we'd taken a couple of opportunities that came out way.

Exactly Mr C.

Been a holocaust of a season but tonight has been a good night so let's just enjoy it.

Though there has to be a nagging feeling that having beaten St.Mirren twice deservedly at Tannadice that it goes to show the players have DEFINITELY short changed the club and have been playing beneath themselves.

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

FUCKING BRILLIANT, fight, passion, about fucking time

Why on earth has gillespie not been playing, moshni has been fucking brilliant has shut the doubters up, stanton and tam ran ran and ran, ralston was fucking immense!

However, a few negatives

McMullan and king, the amount of times I’ve came on here and said fucking run in behind your full back, there’s honestly infuriating

Corners for fucksake leave McMullan or king up, countless times we clear the ball and there’s no one in sight.

Tek - I'd rather you said 'fucking' on here than 'ducking'. We're all adults. 🖒

Mohsni has been immense.

Happy Mehmet got a chance tonight and done well. That's no slight on young Harry btw.

Maybe (just maybe) this lot can raise their game when they feel it means something.

Guess we will find out on Saturday. Yet another big game.

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

Well that was better, my take on tonight:

Deniz- Came for crosses when he needed, punched clear when he needed. Safe hands all night 8/10

Murdoch - one of his better performances in Tangerine help to break up play and did well against their wife players 7

Ralston - couple of wobbly clearances towards the end but did well 7

Durnan - much better tonight, won his battles and kept it simple 8

Mosh - won everything thrown his way, marshalled the defence and looks a player that we could be doing with going forward. 9

Gillespie- bit of dig and some neat touches. A wee run of games might just help him 7

Stanton - laddie puts a shift in tonight, only negative was his glaring miss to kill it off  7

Willo - best game for ages, covered every blade of grass and led the team 9

McMullan- Ran about but final ball let’s him down too often. Worked hard for the team 7

King - as with McMullan, worked hard tonight but too easy to defend against for me. Took his goal well 7

Mikkelson - did ok, won more headers than usual and ran hard for the cause but his hold up play is sporadic. The shot he had when he was offside was a laughable attempt for a striker from 7yards out 6

Good to see Briels back on the park tonight too

Negatives is we still on defending set pieces have nobody up the park to at least keep them from being having any clearances coming straight back in again. However the biggest complaint is where the fuck has that heart, desire and fire in the belly been over the other 31 games?

No doubt we’ll return to type on Saturday so I’ll enjoy tonight as the highlight of the season in not witnessing them winning it at Tannadice.

Re: Utd v St.Mirren - Tuesday 10th April (7.45pm)

One wee thing.

Where was Scott McDonald tonight (not even in the bench)?

Played well on Saturday 2nd half and certainly didn't look injured. Bust-up?
