I think so.
Can't see St.Mirren capitulating and us going on a winning run of games.

Over for me!! We are a poor team with no sign of any kind of winning mentality and zero fight. No sure Laszlo has any of these things either?? substituting Stanton for Quinn says it all to me. Where was the reaction to last weeks embarrassment?
Offline
hate to agree, but have to.
St.Mirren show no signs of slipping up.
Playoffs....sadly I don't thing we are even favourites for this as Inverness are a big physical team, who will get into the playoff positions, the way they are going at the moment.
If we are going to make any more signings MUST be big lads, not scared to tackle.
That is our only hope

We are doomed. Nae danger we are going up. Managers made us worse imo.

Still over 40 points to play for.
What happens in the next 3/4 league games for us and stnirren will define it.
We have totally fucked up big tine. Its not pretty. I wasnt at game today as away workijg. However it doesnt sound like it was any good once again.
Loosing 2 players has fucked us massively sadly.
Play offs for us are no good again sadly. We wont go up via them.

Is it fuck over. Do we really think St. Mirren are safe as houses? They're one or two injuries away from being fucking shite. Plenty points to play for.
As despondent as anyone but nowhere near over. End of the day we might be fucking shite but rest of league not much better. League will be harder to escape next year.

Absolutely crazy how much can change in a few weeks oh futba, ah the positivity we’ve hud ti this dross we’re watching now! Scary
Also mental how much the 2 lads oot injured brought ti oor team and how much the rest oh the boys in the team look like their missing thum , withoot Fraser&Fyvie we look a bang average championship team, and wi bayth oot fir the season we’ve nay chance in the playoffs. Sad Sad times again I’m afraid.

No I sympathise massively. I'm not being positive or saying we are playing well. Theyve really not played well in the ggames I have been able to watch.
But I've yet to see any worldbeaters. If St. Mirren are best team in this league. They're only 1 injury away from having there own issues.
Can't be saying it's over yet.

You may have a point there. If say Lewis Morgan got injured that would be a big blow for them.
If we win our game in hand it's down to 5 points. If we beat St.Mirren at Tannadice it's down to 2 points.
But that's just it, it's all IF.
Truth is even if all of that were to happen I honestly see us surrendering more points as the season goes on.
The only time we have remotely put a run together was under Laurie Ellis (and that's in both Championship seasons).

Been going to watch United regularly from the early 90s and It's hard to put this into words my thoughts on the entire club right now, from Thompson to the fan on the terraces but I will try.
We have no fight and we've had none for a few years now both on and off the terraces in my opinion, I feel an air of dispondancy at almost every game I've attended over the past three seasons (hibs game last season at Tannadice and the Falkirk play off match the exceptions and the wee run we had there prior to xmas). Ever since we tied them green ribbons round the league cup and gift wrapped it to Celtic without a fight its like we have been in a coma just watching the demise.
For us to get back into the title race we need to be United in every sense of the word just the way St Mirren are just now, how we get that I don't know but one things for sure we need it quick.
There was a thread this week and guys were talking about the numbers we take to away games which in my opinion are impressive and I've been to most the last few months but I feel that there just something missing from years gone by.
Anybody else feel the same?

Don't get me wrong either like, it looks pretty bleak. Agree w B&T as well though. I'm sure I'd been to Falkirk and today I'd be singing different tune. But you look at table, plenty points out there.
Mind if we don't make another signing or two, probably is over.
Sorry to say this but will bee astonished if we finish top
Smirren were vulnerable when they lost to the Sons - that ship has sailed now 😔

I hope our players dont share the attitude of many on here. Yes it looks a bit grim at the moment performances have slipped and SM keep winning but come on to f**k lets show some fighting spirit here. We have to hang in there and see how SM react when the finishing line gets closer all this modern snowflake attitude shite drives this old timer mad

Doesn't look good. Injuries are a disaster. Worst result in years then no the reaction we hoped for but a draw there probably isn't that bad a result, especially considering what a loss would have done to us.
Hoping we can steady and start with a win against Morton.
You need strong teams other than the likely title contenders to have a better chance of winning the league. Plenty teams will take points off eachother including StMurrn I expect. Lets see how they handle the pressure being top and cope with injuries.
Livy, ICT and Falkirk seem to be on form as well as StMurrn. Pars too maybe. All form teams will be playing eachother in the run in and points will go in all directions.
Wid be great to bring in a skillfull midfielder, a hard midfielder and the big strong striker we crave. Might be lucky to get one of them.
Realistic hope is one or 2 new signings show a huge improvement and likes of Matty Smith do well.
Fitba is brings the strangest twists, turns, pain and ecstasy.
Nothing ahead will surprise me.
Hope we can back the team in good numbers when it matters.

It's the players who have to show a bit of 'fighting spirit'.
Supporters opinions on a (not very well known) Dundee Utd fans Forum will in no way influence what happens on the park.

Its over for me. We're playing the kind of football that took us out of the top six, out of the Premier League and kept us in this division for a 2nd season. We dont do the basics like attacking and defending but were world champions at go nowhere passing an the prize for that is another season in the Championship. We've not a hope of winning via the play-offs, we flop with every big game. Our only hope is to win the title and yes St Mirren will probably drop points but we will probably drop more. Yes we still need new players but more than that we have to get a lot more from the squad we have.
Offline
i dont know if this was the same today.. but one thing thats really got on my tits recently is the fucking passing about at the back between the back 4 and the goalkeeper. get it to fuck up the park. several times in recent games we have been in an attacking position and ended up back to the defence or to the keeper.
add to that nobody staying up when we are defending a corner either.
Offline
Both of them happened numerous times today. Fuckin infuriating!

Thought the pointless sideways/back passes would have stopped with a new manager but apparently not.
Our away form yet again this season is average at best and that's why we'll still be a championship team next season. Gutted.

Supposedly having more quality than other teams might give the impression we can use that with a plan but this league is an old school Scottish battle.
Csaba has taken on Laurie Ellis's ideas and continuity and apreciated his input and got better instantly without changing too much. The playing out fae the back and horizontal and supposedly safe backward passing has had a better effect than the pish afore initially but an inflicting effect lateratlly.
I hate the style as a fan that saw more direct success being direct and attacking as fuck.
New style is needed and old style tweeked. Don't believe we chose the wrong managerial candidate at all.
Don't think we should turn on this manger so quick.
Time for Csaba to go for it.
Pain is bad, justified and lashing out is easy.
He is stuck with injuries and nae cash.
Back him ST.
