Winterswijk V's Dundee United

Tonight (Friday 18th July) will see us play our 4th game of pre-season(and the 1st of our Dutch tour) against FC Winterswijk, who are an amateur team.

Will have been a long day for the players that will have included a early rise, flights, hotel check-in,lunch,training,travel to stadium, match etc.

Strange fitting it all in to one day IMO,can only harm the players performance.

But we shall see how we go.

Re: Winterswijk V's Dundee United

Like the fact that the young guns are getting game time but what about the core players? They need match fitness so hopefully will start to see them feature a wee bit more. Who is the triallist striker rumoured to be?

Re: Winterswijk V's Dundee United

Just watched the goals on arabzone - opposition not up too much but some well worked goals none the less. BGs goal none too shabby, keep it up big man!

Decent result considering all the travelling today.

Glad wee Connolly got a couple.

Agree with EK Arab, hope to see something more resembling our starting XI against utrecht on Sunday.

Re: Winterswijk V's Dundee United

That's the point TEK, our startingXI need to play the majority with the young guns getting a late run out. Sure this is what we will see from here on in

Think cos the opposition so far has been fairly weak the Gaffer is wanting to see what kids are maybe ready to push for a first team squad push.

Sunday onwards though i think we'll see stronger starting XI's and the kids making sub appearances late on.
