On the jist of it, closer than you would think. I can see us stringing a winning surge of games and being top by xmas/new year. Do you think that Ray will bring in some new faces to increase our chances of promotion or if top by xmas/new year, will ST and Ray think that we have just enough to go on and win the title?

I dunno if money will be available or not but I'd like to see us sign another winger as cover/competition, a right back (I'd try to move on one of Murdoch or Toshney) and another striker either a big target man or one with real pace.

Heard we're still after the boy McMillan from Dundalk on a pre-contract, looks like he's been banging in the goals over in Ireland this season.
I'd like to see us bring in a right back, as the two we have there are absolute dug meat, Ballantyne's seemingly been terrific for Montrose, surely he can't be any worse than Murdoch or Toshney.
I wouldn't be against us letting Scott Fraser go for a low 6 figure fee if it means getting another option out wide in. That's if anyone's interested of course.

Any borrowed money will probably go towards balancing the books. Expect only selling or moving on players will see us bring in more players.
Personally think January is worth a gamble in throwing some cash at getting up no matter what position we are sitting.

If Southampton come in with another bid for Jamie Robson and we accept i would like to see us get 2 fullbacks (right back and left back) and another type of striker.
Have a feeling we might see no-one coming in however.

I wouldn't build my hopes up, 2nd season in C'ship = skint & tbf we have probably spent every last penny in assembling this season's squad which we & the management must hope is just about enough to get us over the line.
What then I'm not quite sure - maybe it'll signal the start of some new era which appears to be necessary on financial & other counts. Could 2018/19 be the start of the New Broom?
