With the exception of Mehmet or Deniz or whatever you call him I'd give everyone two more stars for merit for their 2nd half performances compared to 1st half performances. Coz Deniz was 8/10 in both halves.
2nd half -
Deniz - 8
Ritchie - 8
Murdoch - 8
Allardice - 8
Hornby - 7
Smith - 7
Thomas - 7
Stanton - 8
Taylor - 9
Piggott - 7
N'Koyi - 8

Chalmers - 10 for 10 minutes
Dailly - 7

As the game we t on we improved.
Lucky not to have went in at half time a goal or 2 down.
Keeper done well.

AVery mixed performance yesterday. Deniz, Allardice, Murdoch, Stanton Showed they are 1st team material. Smith, Taylor, Nkoy & Chalmers could make the subbies bench. Ritchie,Hornby, Thomas& Piggot Are just not good enough.

Linfield looked a no bad team. By the 80th minute tho, they looked a bit knackered and for the last 10 mins, oor younger lads defo had the advantage oe them. As predicted, only took them a couple oe minutes inta the gehm when they started their political sing-along.

Noticed a cheenge in the gehm when Chalmers and Daiily came on.

Taylor shows some great abilty, Thomas tae.

When I 1st saw Chalmers against Blue Brazil in July, knew he had sonething. Attempt deflected no long before his goal, and what aboot Logans Run. Great finish fae the laddie. Gonna go far.

Why did the referee give the game an extra 4 minutes? There didn't seem that much delay. Mind you, I'm glad he did due to the timing of our goal.......

My final thoughts: the crowd was an embarrassment, so few in number. And I was disappointed that BBC Alba packed their gear and disappeared without a word to anyone, managers or players.

1967 the said official attendance was. I sidnt think as much as that although it is hard to gauge really

Leedys this tournament has not caught the supporters imagination one admin stained club had a crowd of less than 100 for a home tie.

I’d ask the same question aboot Stanton as well, he done absolutely nuhin oh note, if he expects ti be in oor first 11 he’s a long way fay it IMO, was poor in a gem where he should be driving the younger players on an being oor main player.

It was them who introduced it into the game - no us, and definitely no me, so I'm just stating my opposition to it, and like it or not, the majority of the crowd yesterday. I think it says a lot more about them than it does about me.

I hear you, Billy, but that is no excuse for disrespecting the flag. Like you I try not to talk politics here, and Tek is aware of that,but there are times when I feel I have to speak out. But you didn't condemn their politics, but insulted (though I believe not intentionally ) the memory of countless of our fellow countrymen.

If I had my way Leedsy there wouldna be a British flag. My Granda never mentioned fighting for a flag, but he was proud to fight for his country..

Look Leedsy, I dinnae hae any problem we the UK in sports, ie. the Olympics etc. But singing God Save etc. at a Scottish futba ground is nonsense - admittedly it wasna all of them singing it - but I didna hear any Scotland supporters sing the Russian national anthem during the Lithuania game, efter ah, Lithuania was occupied by the Soviets for 47 years.
