Feels like that could be a turning point doesn't it? Was very apathetic a couple of weeks ago. Sucked right back in again.

Fantastic.
We have beaten 2 of our rivals with comparitive ease.
I'm not getting carried away but it feels a hell of a lot better than it did 2 weeks ago

Some good interplay from midfield and up front. Wee confident flicks, and good running off the ball.
Worth going today, hope we can keep it up.

Maybe we had defenders injured but that today would be my 1st choice defence, Willo's great at closing his oppo down, Edje'is a no fuss battler and Durnan and Robson offer more than their rivals.

Agree with this completely. Like to see Flood getting an extended run at right back or until injured, whichever comes first.

For the 1st time this season I felt we looked like we could score every time we came forward. Hope we can keep this up and the fringe players keep knocking at the door, this will keep out first choice x11 on their toes.

May seem a bit churlish to moan but I think we could have done even better on Saturday (particularly in 1st half) if we'd committed a bit more. There were a number of times when we were on the counter that we (unnecessarily) checked back, allowed their defenders to get back in position and lost the advantage. Bigger teams or teams with a winning mentality would have gone for it a bit more and probably racked up a bigger score. King was the main culprit. Dunfermline played an open game against us as they were confident of beating us, other teams are unlikely to give us as much room, so we need to get into the ruthless habit of maximising whatever chances we get.

Quite a good observation Annan,

Good points, I think the checking back was possibly influenced by the lack of that other bugbear in the United squad you've mentioned, no target man. McMullan was a bit guilty of that too, in the second half I noticed more so.
There was a point, three times in a row, where he slowed up and aimlessly played a ball into space to no-one. If we hadn't been three up, I imagine the moans and groans from the stand would have been vocal.
One encouraging point: before the start of the season, if asked to pick the most difficult grounds to visit in the league, many would have chosen Inverness, Paisley, Falkirk and Dunfermline close to the top of a list. We've maybe played the more difficult away fixtures to this stage, and seven points out of twelve is reassuring after last season's performances on the road.
But it's early days, and it'll take a lot more to make me feel confident on away trips.
Good point about away games Pat.
Would picking up 6 points at Livi (Oct 14) & Dumbarton (Oct 28) restore your on-the-road confidence?

To be fair, my confidence is inconsequential.
Nonetheless, six points would be very welcome, and it is a realistic target.

Livi have started the season very well considering they have just been promoted. Hopefully we can turn in a similar performance to last week and take the 3 points - they will no doubt sit in much more than Dunfermline did though.
The Dumbarton game is a biggee for me - losing there twice last season was a disgrace, we need to put those games to bed and show we are capable of going there an winning.

Agree with this, especially the Dumbarton bit.
