Hospital

Nothing to do with football. My son, Leif, has been suffering a bad back for weeks, his job of bus driver not helping at all. Today, being in no fit state to drive a bus, he was sent to hospital by his boss. He had to sit about for several hours awaiting an MRI scan. He eventually had that done and was immediately whipped off for an emergency operation. We don't yet know why the pain.

Hope they find the problem, and he makes a speedy recovery.

What have they diagnosed him with Leedsy?

Hope they get to the bottom of it asap.

Re: Hospital

It's a worry when it's one of the kids. Hope things go well, Leedsy.

He's had a spinal fusion, as the lumbar region was crumbling. Thanks for your interest, Tek.

It is indeed hard, Pat. Especially as he was a bad lad who has completely turned his life around.......

Re: Hospital

Hope your lad's gonna make a full recovery Leedsy. Like your son, I was in a sedimentary job, for 33 years, and got used to, over the years hearing about work colleagues having sh1t like this happen to them.

My turn came a few year ago. Sciatica (phuckin paralysing when it's at its worst), and Spondylitis.

I had an MRI scan a wee while ago for what I can only describe as an unbearable sharp pain in my neck and throat area. Turns out, they think it's a damaged Glossopharyngeal nerve. It's a rare type of Neuralgia which only affects people over 40 (great ay).

4 phuckin month in agony, and they give me a tablet for nerve pain, and it's practically gone in 2 days.

As I said Leedsy, hope your son makes a full recovery, and he's back behind the wheel of his double-decker.

Cheers, Billy. He isn't supposed to drive a bus for 12 weeks after the op. That'll be the bairns' Xmas knackered, so I'll have to be busy getting the family to do their bit slightly more than usual.

Thon sciatica is a bastard. Had it many years ago.

12 weeks is hopeful and recovery will be heavily influenced by luck, advise and having good of both whilst being awfy careful.

This caper requires one of these "just giving" efforts I feel.

Leedsy has been through enough lately and I'd like us to collectively help here if you agree.

Anyone know how to set this up?
